I paid $50 for the same Panther kit that Brickwar2 charges $110 for. Trying right now to find the site I got it from.

I had one back in 1989-1990.  It wasn't real Lego, but lego compatible i think.  My dad was stationed in Korea.  We were back here in the USA and dirt poor.

I dont know if it was one my dad shipped back from korea or something mom found at the PX or what.  Most of the bricks were ODG.  I dont think i ever got any real legos that same color.

I haven't found one set that doesn't fall apart if you touch it wrong.  Can be very frustrating for my son to assemble.

Brickmania is pretty popular and I have built a couple of their kits. I don't love the limited drop sale structure though.

Cobi is supposed to be pretty good

Brickmania is all mostly all real lego pieces so it’s quite expensive. The custom minifigs are great. If you can make it to San Diego it’s well worth looking at the store.

I found it today. It came from brixkrieg.com. The Panther special is over, it's up to 79.99 now but still worth it. I think they have the best prices of any of the American resellers.

They're probably smaller scale than you're looking for, but you can build tiny tanks from lego and wargame WW2 battles to boot
