What’s everyone’s thoughts on this brand? On one hand, Hajime Asaoka is an absolute master watchmaker and his ‘accessible’ brand (Kurono) is putting out works of art. On the other hand, Miyota movements  .This upcoming drop is kinda calling me to at least try (it’ll sell out immediately): Inseki |

SWEET! One has to be on point to snag one of these. Gone in minutes. Well done! DHL will send you an email when it arrives stateside. They'll tell you what duties need to be paid. When I got my watch, I paid DHL via PayPal on a Friday, and had the watch Tuesday. My duties were $240 on a $2285 watch. That was end of June 2025. Hope you love it!  Edit to add- I see my Jubilee Sensu on sale on eBay for $4300-$5100. Kurono Tokyo watches have a history of increasing in value over time. |
FYI - they just announced their 2026 anniversary model will have a malachite dial. Rather than the typical mad dash and selling out in under a minute, they’re going to fill all orders made during the order windows. Kurono Anniversary |

OK, correction to my previous statement: it sounds like they’re still limiting the number of orders per window. First order window closed in about a minute. I still somehow managed to order one, so I’m super psyched right now. Second order window is at 9AM Eastern, if anyone is interested. It’s a rare opportunity to get something from one of the top independent watchmakers alive. |
