I have a 17 JK 2DR I am going to put a lift and 35s on. I’m looking at: AEV 2.5” lift. https://www.aev-conversions.com/product/jk-dualsport-xt-suspension-2-5/ Also including the geometry correction brackets. My issue is that I’d like to keep my stock rims. Does anyone know if I will need to run wheel spacers with this setup? Tires are BFG KO2 315/70/17. I run a winch bumper and a Warn 8000 up front and a tire carrier/ rear bumper. Attached File |

I've read that AEV lifts are fragile. I wheeled pretty hard with this cheap lift, JKS removable end links, & longer bump stops. https://www.extremeterrain.com/mammoth-25in-suspension-lift-kit-0718-jeep-2door.html https://www.extremeterrain.com/jks-front-swaybar-quicker-jk-2034.html This cheap kit adds in a set of removable end links: https://www.extremeterrain.com/mammoth-jk-wrangler-25-inch-suspension-lift-kit-w-shocks-j143272.html I ran wheel spacers with stock wheels and 33" tires. Otherwise your tires will rub on your swaybars making tight U-turns difficult. When I moved to 35" tires I picked up a set of used bronze Method Wheels and got rid of the spacers. You might take a look at Rocktrix wheels. They are a bit more affordable than other brands like Method, etc. https://rocktrix.com/ Last week I added a Metal Cloak 3.5" Game Changer lift, Metal Cloak HD Steering System, and 37" tires. | You won't need spacers if you keep the current tire size. If you wider, you'll need spacers. However, with that being said, spacers to have some concerns. The stock Rubicon rims are narrow so that limits your tire size. If you're going off road you'll want wider tires and you'll want to upgrade to wider rims with at least a -12mm offset which will cover you to 12.5 inch wide tires. |

Which one you go with? The one in the OP? I like the way it looks. Not a huge fan of the really tall lifts personally. |
