Well, yesterday evening, I walked the dog again.  Keep in mind, I always follow the same route, always ending up back at the abandoned creepy house to let the dog do her business.

Now, in the evenings, it is not common for the wife to go with us, but yesterday, she felt like having a walk with us, so we went. And before we came back in the house, we ended up at the creepy house.

Ever since the last visit, the wife swears that she's had an uneasy feeling. She even said she awoke one night, thinking someone was hovering over her next to the bed.

Which makes her actions yesterday evening all the more puzzling, because when we got there, she walked right up on the porch and looked in the windows.

I told her the ghosts were gonna get her, etc. and gave her a hard time about it.

Well, she normally gets up a few minutes earlier than I do, but this morning, she comes back upstairs and says, "Will you come down here? You have to see something."

When we got downstairs, she asks me if I had gotten up during the night. I had, but hadn't gone downstairs. And, I didn't hear anything out of the ordinary when I was up. So, she walks to the bathroom.

She has a small basket of hair care products that she keeps by the door. One bottle of hairspray was out of the basket, lying in the middle of the floor.

The second, a pump sprayer, was on the rug.  The sprayer top had been removed and all of the liquid inside had poured onto the rug.

Her deodorant is out on the counter, and it has liquid makeup smeared all over it.

And then she drags me into the kitchen, where two drawers and a cabinet door are all open.

She hadn't even thought of her little escapade up on the front porch of the house until I reminded her. Now she's freaked out.

To be honest, I am a little bit too...

This isn't funny any more.

Laying here in bed, dog goes nuts. She gets up and runs down stairs. Grab my gun, carefully creeping a little at a time, checking to see that the coast was clear.

Usually, when she does that, I find her running in circles, barking at every thing, with no idea what's going on.

This time, she's standing at the front door, hair bristled up, like she's ready to kill something.

I open the inside front door and see that one of the patio chairs that we keep on our front porch was moved over in front of the storm door.

This thing doesn't move in the heaviest windstorm. No way a cat could have done it. I have never found it moved from where it usually is.

I am getting really creeped out by this. Getting to be too many things happening to chalk it all up to coincidence.

She would also wake us up at night talking and we'd go in to check on her and she'd be out of bed, sitting on the floor, staring at the ceiling or wall, and carrying on a conversation. Neither sister had any significant behavioral issues and they were both sharp as tacks. I chalked it up to an overactive imagination.

I took my kids out to the Marietta Confederate Cemetery in Georgia as part of a history field trip (again, I homeschool) and the sisters tagged along. They had ZERO idea what we were there for or what it was, even MY kids. I hadn't told them anything about where we were headed, just that we'd learn some valuable history.

We barely got inside the gate and that little girl stops, looks around and says, "How come the soldiers don't have guns with them?"

One of my kids said, "What soldiers? Where?"

The little girl, I swear to God, acted like we were all pulling her leg and pointed all around. "All of them! Right there."

I said, "How many?"

She just shrugged and kept pointing all around us. At one point she likened them to G.I. Joes --- my son has a big collection of them. I didn't want to freak my kids out (or myself any further) so I started to talk about the war. A little while later she pointed to my son Elijah, who is a very black child we adopted from Africa and said, "Oh. You go in there with them."

She pointed to another section we hadn't gotten to yet and that I wasn't even aware of. It was the slave lot.

I was very happy when they went back home a couple of days later. I think I had gooseflesh for days after that. Hell, I have gooseflesh right now remembering it.

Freaked my sister out.

My eldest daughter used to talk to the "nice old lady" occasionally, when we were at a friends house.  Which leads me into another story I forgot about.

My friends lived in a 1920's era house that had been built as what was essentially an in-laws suite for the wealthy family that lived in the big house next door. It had been sold off eventually, and my friends bought it at a decent price.  Almost immediately they noticed weird things happening, mostly centered around the kitchen and the adjoining basement door/basement.

My buddy would go down in the basement sometimes and find the floor to ceiling cabinet doors open - they were always locked via hook and eye latches.  They would always be all open, standing 90° from the cabinet.  They would smell cigarette smoke occasionally and neither they, nor the neighbors who lived in the big house smoked.   There was the standard footstep noises occasionally.

Well, one day on their anniversary they needed a babysitter on short notice and I was the only one available.  I had three kids of my own at the time and watching a 1.5 year old who sleeps through the night was a cake job.  Easy thing for me to do to help them out.  I had some work to finish anyways, and I could bring my laptop and work in quiet.  The living room was laid out so that you could see into the kitchen from the couch as you watched TV.  I began to notice that I would see, out of the corner of my eye, a "shadow" moving in the kitchen, but every time I looked up to see what it was there was nothing.  I also smelled the cigarette smell at this time as well.

So, being mildly concerned, I moved chairs to the one across the room.  I couldn't see the TV as well, but more importantly I could not see the kitchen.  I stayed in that seat the rest of the night, and I heard some stuff moving in the kitchen, but I really didn't want to play ghostbusters.

My wife had a similar experience over there while having a wine and craft night with my sister, and my friends wife.  However, my sister just yelled, randomly, a females name that popped into her head - like "Margaret, stop that.  We are trying to get some work done!" - and later on my friends wife was researching the house and found out that woman who had lived there previously (and died in the house) was indeed named "Margaret" ( I can't remember the name).  That kind of freaked my sister out, who said that the name just seemed appropriate to say it and it just came to her.

They moved, incidentally, to a house across from my grandparents - a house that someone also died in - and my grandpa had found the body when doing a welfare check.

The trick is being able to silently disappear.  It's also easy to rig stuff with fishing line.  That's why it's so easy for "investigators" to make stuff up.  It was such a huge letdown on that Ghost Hunters show.  They were investigating a prison and something ran up to the camera and then ran away, back into the darkness.  It was creepy at first, but on the replay you can see the sole of the guy's shoe when he turns to run away.  The "investigators" never noticed that detail.  Bummer.
Anyway, back to creepy...

For the wife also, not just the house. If the Holy Spirit was present the demon(s) would have fled in fear instead of following her. Meanwhile set up some cams, we would all like some spooky video.

I know I keep harping on this.  One more small thing happened last night after all this that I didn't have the energy to post about.

Lying in bed last night on our tablets after the chair event (seeing as now neither of us can sleep)...

Out of nowhere, I her a sound of pinging glass. Like someone flicked the rim of a wineglass with their fingernail.

Dog gets up, runs. I grab my gun.

Nothing out of place. Don't know where the glass sound came from.

Eventually we all three settled down and I was finally was able to get some sleep, but I woke up a lot...

Weird thing is, our house is almost 100 years old. Never really seen, heard, or experienced anything that couldn't be explained away until now.

Apparently, the house across the street was built in 1914, according to Zillow. I would have thought it to be newer than ours.

Over the course of 100 years, probably hard to tell what all has gone on in there. Wife even supposed that since it was abandoned, the creepers could be using it for satanic rituals.

Ok this really isn't creepy, just weird.

My mom and I were in her yard staining a pergola last week, we were standing under it and brushing stain on the top so we were looking up. It was a very sunny day with a blue sky and hardly any clouds as it's been for over a week.

My mom stops and starts looking intently in one spot, and after a few minutes asks me to look at a point in the sky and tell her if I see anything. I scan around and didn't see anything right off, but after a few seconds noticed what at first looked like some kind of weird distortion. It was hard to make my eyes focus on it at first but once I finally pinpointed the exact spot to look at, it looked like a bubble in the sky. A clear, weird bubble shape just floating in the sky.

I wanted to see what my mom said before I told her what I thought I was seeing, so I told her I thought I saw something but couldn't make it out and asked her what she saw. She said she was seeing what looked like a clear plastic beach ball that was floating around in the sky.

We can't figure out what this thing could be, the best thing we could come up with is a weather balloon. But we live way out in the sticks, hard to figure why or how a weather balloon would be out in our area, but still plausible. The main thing was that whatever it was, it wasn't a color. It was like you could barely make out the outline of it around the circular edge, but you could see through it as if it were made of clear plastic. It reminded me of the Predator movie where the predator could make himself transparent, but you could barely detect the digital distortion where he was at. That's kind of the way it looked from where we were at.

It didn't seem to be very high either, maybe twice the heights of the treetops but it was hard to tell, maybe a little higher, maybe a little lower. We both had our phones with us and took pictures of where it was at, but the pictures did not show anything. I even opened them with Photoshop and magnified them in the spot where we were seeing this thing hoping to at least see some pixelation that would show a defined edge, but nothing showed.

Anyway, it was just weird. We both saw it but just can't explain what it would have been. Maybe a weather balloon, if not that I'm clueless. We would have never seen it if we hadn't been out there staining that pergola. Another thing I was thinking at first is maybe we were both high from the stain fumes, lol. But we both saw it, and we were in the yard with a gentle breeze so it's not like there was inadequate ventilation. Oh that's another thing, even with that gentle breeze, whatever this thing was it would kind of easily hover and float around but did not float with a breeze. It reminded me of the way a drone might hover and move with breeze yet still stay in basically the same spot.

Any thoughts or ideas?

A few weeks ago, Sept 22nd around 9:30 pm My girl friend and I saw some weird things in the sky. It was really cloudy and a low ceiling. we were out in the country and very dark. She seen it before I did and she was speechless then i noticed it and was like WTF.

It was five orb like lights just above the clouds. they were moving around randomly and slowly like if you would shin flashlights on the wall and swirl them around. I looked for spotlight beams but didn't see any. Looking at them you could tell they were above the clouds, they were fuzzy and would get dimmer when going behind the thicker cloud cover. We were coming up on a tree line and was going to loose them so i stopped the truck and shortly after they just vanished. From the time I seen them till they were gone lasted about 45 seconds.

This thing doesn't move in the heaviest windstorm. No way a cat could have done it. I have never found it moved from where it usually is.

To the guy with the poltergeist, don't just salt the doorways, salt circle the whole house.

Burn sage in every room and closet. Open all the windows and doors, work from the basement up, and from the upstairs attic access down. Push it towards an open door and then seal the property with the salt.

One quick one...  Kinda made me go

So i live and work in a small town, I've been a medic here off and on for 20+ years and have had the misfortune of working LOTS of calls on friends, family and neighbors.

One such call was at the home of a neighbor two doors down, elderly couple, sweetest folks you've ever imagined.  Loved em to pieces.

The wife was a grandmotherly type who succumbed to sudden illness at home and died late at night.  She had gone to the restroom and when she didn't come out or respond to knocks, the husband called 911 then dialed me as I often looked in on them and he knew I was close by.  I walked across the yard and beat the ambulance there.  Accessed the bathroom to find her pulseless/apneic and, knowing her and his wishes, explained to him the situation.  We stuck around for JP and funeral home to start the process and family to arrive.  He continued to live there alone for a time until a few years ago.  Shortly after he died (in a nursing home), my childhood sweetheart and her husband bought that home.

Fast forward to the present.  I'm divorced as is my childhood friend who bought the home, and she lives there still.  We've begun seeing one another, and are going down the road of a somewhat private relationship - nothing scandalous, just taking it nice and slow and keeping it as low-key as there are lots of family connections and history on both sides.  On Saturday afternoon we were sitting on the sofa watching TV and there was a knock at the door.  It was her sister.  The friend and I had been discussing how to move forward with telling family about "us" and agreed that we wanted to speak to the kids on both sides before bringing anyone else on board - so I stepped to the back bedroom and closed the door to give her a chance to speak with her sis without having to explain my presence.

So I'm in the master bedroom, which is about 4 foot down the hallway from the guest bath (where the wife expired).  The hallway is windowless and all the bedroom doors are closed so it's quite dark.  While I'm sitting in the room I see the hallway light up from beneath the bedroom door, appears as if the bathroom light has been flipped on.  I assume it's my friend so I stand and start walking toward the bedroom door, before thinking "Could be her sister, though" and turn to sit back down to wait.  Soon as I do, the bedroom doorknob jiggles and turns. I hear the door separate from the frame and begin to open. I freeze for a second, feeling like a guilty teenager who's just been busted.  The door doesn't open, though, and I sit back down.  Light goes out under the door a few seconds later, its all dark again.  I think (but can't be sure") that I even remember hearing the light switch "click" as it's turned off.

Five minutes or so later I hear my friend coming down the hallway and she opens the door to tell me that her sister has left.  We walk back into the living room to finish the show we had paused.  She said she just stopped by to drop off something and they stood at the door and talked for a few, no issues.  I asked which of them had come to the bathroom - she said neither of them had left the front door since just that moment when she walked into the bedroom.  Her sister's car was actually pulling out of the driveway as she told me this.

I told her about the light coming on, and the doorknob being turned.  She swore neither of them had even come NEAR the back of the house (and it's a pretty long hallway with a right angle turn to get to where I was).   She said that she's had some similar things go on and tells herself it's an electrical issue, although it's frightened her to wake up with lights turned on that she had off when she went to bed, particularly the bathroom.  There have also been sounds and noises from there during the night (which I've heard her react to on late night phone calls, chalked up to squirrels on the roof, etc...  I've even walked down late at night to check around the exterior with the night vision and thermal when the noises are very active)   This is a very nice, modern home which the elderly couple had built to retire to.

She knew the elderly couple quite well, also, and knew that she had died in the home, has even asked me if I worked the call.  I had told her in the past that it was a peaceful passing and she had asked not to know where, only asking if it was in her bedroom, which I clarified for her that it was not.  After this event she asked again and I gave her the details.

She's ok with it, and I've been there several times alone, even spent quite a bit of time in the guest bath repairing her bath faucets and other little tasks.  I've never had any other experience and feel very "comfortable" there.

But I do know with absolute certainty what I saw.  That light CLEARLY came on - it's four daylight incandescent bulbs in a modern housing with a simple on/off switch - no dimmer or timer or crazy wiring.  That doorknob was VERY CLEARLY turning - to the extent that I expected to have to have a frank conversation with the sister in the next second, and was pretty relieved when the latch clicked back into place .  When recreating the situation with the hallway dark and the bedroom door closed, the light shining underneath the doorway is exactly as I saw it.

I'm thinking she's maybe making her presence known to two people she was always fond of?  There's certainly no feeling of malice or fear related to it.  I expect we'll be living there together under that same roof for a while before too much longer.  Curious to see if that has any impact...

Yep.

Your elderly neighbor who passed away in that bathroom?

"She's baaaaaaack."

In my own belief, it's not at all uncommon for spirits to "hang around" familiar places, places they loved or were happy (home, etc).

Sometimes I think spirits are just confused, and don't really understand they are dead for awhile.

And "awhile" to them, in the afterlife, might be a few hundred years as we measure time, maybe longer.

I recently had a large bottle of laundry detergent that was full fall of of the shelf it was on. There is no earthly cause that would explain this. There was no condition present that would explain it. Nothing else has happened like that in this house before. I was on the other side of the door to my laundry room when it landed and the door was not shut all the way. I was only feet away when it fell.  I did not see it fall. Cap fell off when it landed and I got to it within a few seconds so the mess was not that bad. I am not scared at all by it, but there is something strange happening for sure.

All the time, different ones. Sometimes they will stare at you from the driveway or middle of the street, or the back patio looking in. Or they will hang out in the laundry room, or in the bedroom walk in closet. I've had both happen to me, not fun.

Even sage and salt will not work sometimes. I had to put blessed religious medals over the door ways and in the closets.
Sometimes rusty iron items will work too.

Sometimes cats will help keep things out of the house.

Dogs, not so much.

Salt and sage will help. If it takes more than that you need religious intervention.
Tolerance is a virtue of evil. It is the doctrine of weakness, based on inferiority and driven by cowardice. Our culture is at war. Pick a team.

I briefly lived in my grandparents house after they passed away.
One day I was alone in the house and taking a crap. As I was alone, I had the door open and was looking down a hall. I happened to be looking at a squat computer speaker sitting on a sturdy table. I saw it flip over and onto the ground.
Later that night, my wife and I were eating dinner and both of us heard a loud hello that sounded like it came from the room we were in. We live way out in the country and no one else was there. I looked.
