I had a greeter/bag checker at Walmart say "Hey, I like your watch" after I finished self-checkout...dude was tatted out the ass, dangly ear rings in each ear, wearing a prototypical emo shirt, multi-color hair, etc. Straight up goth-emo looking guy, a refugee from the early 2ks...he was probably in his mid-20s. I chortled and said thanks, and left Edit - and checked 6 a lot on my walk back out to my car, in case I was getting cased

I recently bought a slightly used Uncle titanium Jubilee bracelet for the P39 because it was a great buy. Still haven’t bought the watch.

P39 with its new daily companion. Picking this up is directly tied to my love of the P39. Going to sound weird, but the Pelagos has taught me to enjoy things for what they are and don’t let them wear you. A well worn watch or 1911 is a thing of beauty. Look forward to the journey.

The P39 has killed my want for a Submariner. After checking out a Sub again at Ben Bridges yesterday, I knew I made the right choice. The GF agreed. Attached File |

I just purchased a pre-owned, still in plastic IXDAO P39 clone. It’s such a close copy the Uncle jubilee bracelet I have fits it perfectly. I sanitized the horrid IXDAO logo off the clasp and I think it looks pretty good. The jubilee gives it a great feel. The watch has the upgraded SW200 movement and is currently running about -2 seconds over 24 hours. I haven’t decided if this may satisfy my desire for the P39 or just make me want one more. Either way it gives me the chance to try out the fit for $200.   BTW, the bezel action on this one is a swing and miss. It’s thing only thing about the watch that’s truly disappointing. |

| I loved this watch, but had to sell due to some cash issues. I will say, the only thing I wasn't a fan of was the excessive wear on the titanium bracelet. The case held up fine, but a lot of scratches on the bracelet and obviously the clasp as I'm a fantastic desk diver. I wish Tudor used a higher quality titanium. |

Well, save for under the hood. Honestly I’d much rather have the Seiko movement anyway. Less fuss and muss and when the movement starts running wonky, you replace it for the cost of a pizza. I really like the looks though regardless if it’s Tudor or San Martin and I’ve always wanted a light weight titanium watch. Love the pics! Thanks for posting. |
