CLAIM: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces have claimed they struck two U.S. Navy destroyers operating in the Middle East. This is completely FALSE. FACT: No U.S. Navy warship has been struck; all IRGC attempted attacks failed. Meanwhile, U.S. forces have successfully destroyed 10 Iranian tankers in just the last week. These vessels were part of a multibillion-dollar shadow network that funds the IRGC, and Iran cannot defend them.

We live like kings compared to most of the rest of the world, and it's not enough. I have a different idea about what we "deserve". |

Correct, and I don't expect our national defense, foreign policy, and international trade decisions to be based on their poor personal judgment. If you don't need a big ass diesel truck, but instead want one, THAT IS YOUR RIGHT, but not my concern if you can't fill the tank. If you NEED it for work/commerce, I am more sympathetic. However, a lot of the bellyaching around here is because of choices people freely made. |

Full article referenced above Iran has fired electro-optical missiles at American warships for the first time. Tehran said it attacked 10 US ships on Wednesday and fired ballistic missiles at a base in Jordan, after the US destroyed five Iranian oil tankers. US Central Command (Centcom) said its attacks were in response to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeting US navy warships. No Americans were harmed, it said. Iranian officials have claimed they are using new missiles with advanced features to target the warships. However, Centcom said on Wednesday that all attempted attacks had failed. The missiles are likely to include electro-optical seekers, which use cameras and light sensors to see, track, and hit targets with high precision. Tehran unveiled the Qassem Bassir, a new medium-range ballistic missile with this technology, last year. It is unclear whether this was the specific type launched at the US ships. The solid-fuel missile has a roughly half-ton warhead, built for precision and for penetrating layered air defences rather than for sheer explosive weight. Iran’s new national security chief said on Sunday that Tehran had tested a “special anti-destroyer” missile for the first time over a US warship in the region – part of what he described as a sweeping shift in Iran’s approach to the war. Mohsen Rezaei, the newly installed secretary of the supreme national security council, said the test 48 hours earlier had “created a hell for the Americans, and they fled”. He said it showed that the American naval blockade of Iran was “vulnerable”. Mr Rezaei tied it to a broader change in strategy, from “reactive deterrence” to “active deterrence”, after Donald Trump abandoned the Islamabad understanding. The strategy has played out with attacks on US bases in Jordan and Erbil, a strike on an American warship, a planned “prohibited zone” in the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman, and the activation of overland corridors. Analysts say that no missile is built from scratch, and the weapon probably descends from Iran’s existing heavy missiles – the liquid-fuelled Khorramshahr family that forms the backbone of its long-range arsenal – paired with newer solid-fuel motors in the Salman class that allow tighter control and higher efficiency. The new missiles suggest Tehran may still be receiving assistance from Russia or China to track the location of US warships, experts have warned. In April, intelligence reports found that Chinese and Russian satellites were secretly providing the Islamic Republic with critical imagery to target US military bases. Russia has long exchanged weapons with Iran and provided drone expertise during the war. In May, the US sanctioned China-based entities for providing satellite imagery to Iran during the war. Two months later, it was revealed that China was sending 400 rocket launchers to Iran in a new deal, underscoring their increased military ties. Mr Trump has downplayed concerns about Beijing and Moscow’s assistance to Iran. Increased attacks by both sides in recent days have ended a month of relative calm, hitting military, shipping and energy assets, sending oil prices surging and drawing in regional allies. The price of oil rose above $100 (£74) a barrel for the first time since July on Wednesday as the attacks escalated. Explosions were heard on Tuesday near Kharg Island, a key site for Iran’s oil industry, which Mr Trump previously mooted as a possible location for an invasion. “In response to Iran’s most recent failed attacks, Centcom destroyed the IRGC crude oil carriers,” it said. “American forces directed the crews to abandon ship before the vessels were struck and rendered inoperable.” Marco Rubio, the US secretary of state, on Tuesday warned that the US would not allow Iran’s attacks to go unanswered. “Iran continues to try to hit US naval ships, and for every time they do that or try to do that, they’re going to lose tankers, and I think you’ll see that again today,” he told reporters while on a trip to Colombia.

Reuters source article Pakistan has delivered a Saudi warning to Iran to rein in its Yemeni Houthi allies after they stepped up attacks on the kingdom, in a coordinated effort to prevent the crisis from spiralling, Saudi, Pakistani and Iranian sources said. The Houthis struck an airbase in Khamis Mushait and oil infrastructure in nearby cities on Tuesday, wounding 73 people, in one of the biggest attacks on Saudi Arabia since the start of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran in February. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said on Wednesday that Saudi warplanes carried out 54 airstrikes across various Yemeni provinces over the past 12 hours, adding that they would "not go unanswered and unpunished". The escalating conflict, which represents a second theatre of war to threaten global energy supplies, comes as Iran and the United States wage their biggest declared wave of tit-for-tat attacks on shipping in the Gulf region since their war began. Pakistan's warning to Iran carries significant weight because of its defence pact with Saudi Arabia and Turkey. While officials in Islamabad stressed any military role would be confined to defending Saudi territory, Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said attacks spilling into the kingdom could trigger a joint security arrangement involving Riyadh, Ankara and Islamabad. "An aggression on one country will be considered an aggression on all three countries," Asif said on Pakistani TV. "There is no ambiguity or doubt... Unprovoked aggression or spillover... into Saudi Arabia will definitely make this agreement operational." The Pakistani defence ministry, foreign ministry and the military did not respond to a Reuters request for comment. FEARS OF PROXY WAR TURNING INTO WIDER REGIONAL CRISIS Pakistan’s intervention, after years of balancing ties with Saudi Arabia and Iran, has underscored the seriousness of the Houthi attacks. The message to Tehran is clear: rein in the Houthis or risk turning a proxy conflict into a broader regional security crisis, the sources said. A senior regional diplomat said Pakistan had conveyed the message to Iran over the past 24 hours, urging Tehran to use its influence to halt Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. A senior Iranian official confirmed that Pakistan conveyed the message to Tehran on Tuesday and Tehran's response was that "Iran does not control the Houthis". However, two Iranian sources said Tehran had told the Houthis last week to carry out attacks on Saudi Arabia. Tehran promised additional funding and weapons, they said, while several Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commanders had travelled to Yemen to help coordinate the attacks. The regional diplomat said Islamabad was seeking to restrain the Houthis before the escalation reached a point where Riyadh could press Pakistan to play a more active role in defending it. "Pakistan has an agreement with Saudi Arabia, but I am hopeful the situation will not reach the point where Pakistan has to practically step in," the diplomat told Reuters. "It will pursue a diplomatic solution for now." PAKISTANI SUPPORT FOR SAUDIS The Pakistani source said Saudi officials had met senior Pakistani and Turkish military representatives in Riyadh to coordinate their response. The three countries agreed that their troops would not enter Yemen and that any response would be launched from Saudi territory, the source added. A second Pakistani source said no decision had been made to join retaliatory strikes, stressing that its military pact with Riyadh was defensive and limited to protecting Saudi territory. Pakistani forces could provide military, technical, ground or air support within Saudi Arabia, but would not take part in combat operations on foreign soil, the source said. The pressure campaign waged by Iran and the Houthis could have the opposite effect to that intended by Tehran, the regional diplomat said. By targeting Gulf security in a bid to pressure Washington over its blockade of Iranian ports, Tehran risks driving Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey and other U.S.-aligned states into closer security coordination rather than fracturing their ties. TRUMP'S BLOCKADE OF IRAN SET TO CONTINUE Regional officials also see little sign that Washington is prepared to relent. President Donald Trump appears committed to maintaining the U.S. blockade until Iran reaches an agreement with Washington, the diplomat said, while Qatar is quietly exploring new proposals aimed at bringing both sides back to negotiations. Another regional source said Saudi Arabia's military response would remain focused on the Houthis rather than Iran itself. Nor do Saudi officials believe Houthi attacks will achieve Tehran's broader objective of ending the U.S. blockade. Riyadh is not expected to press Washington to lift the blockade, that source said, stressing that Trump believes sustained economic coercion is the most effective pathway to negotiations. "The question is how much pain Iran can absorb, and for how long," the source said. "Trump does not want a military solution. He wants to squeeze them through the blockade." The ships hull was targeted, in particular the engine room and cargo tanks. These attacks, particulalry the one against KYLO demonstrate the U.S. responding to strikes against tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranians have to be concerned about their other tankers along their coast, along with 20 anchored near Sri Lanka. That last one looked like it was strafed across with APIT ammo from tracking splashes up to it, over it with some things popping, then splashes behind it in that line still. The earlier ones looked like SDB or hellfire small yield to do just enough damage to prevent it from steering and not totally destroying the engine/interior rooms, just the outboard steering gear? Rembmber the shot that made another Tom Hanks movie from Red Sea? I wonder any of these will get a movie (well, with the US as the good guys). |

Their drone program may have started when they captured a couple of US drones and reverse engineered them. Maybe they will reverse engineer this submersible drone. Having an intact submersible drone could be a huge gain for them since it could provide them a shortcut to their own version, which could then hunt ships. |

News: Multiple American military aircraft suffered damage in strikes overnight on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, sources told @JimLaPorta and me. One A-10 Thunderbolt, known as the Warthog, was struck and left with a missing wing. Roughly eight F-15s sustained light damage and were placed back into service. American forces in Jordan launched more than 30 Patriots missiles defending against the Iranian strikes. The overnight damage came after the US attacked five Iranian tankers in retaliation for Iran targeting a U.S. Navy warship. In response, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed they launched attacks at eight tankers and two warships, including the base in Jordan. |

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz: “Given the possibility that, due to the economic stranglehold and intense pressure Iran is under, it may decide to take action against Israel, I once again warn the Iranian leadership: Any attack on Israel, for any reason and from anywhere, will be met with a powerful response that will inflict severe damage on Iran--damage it has never suffered before--including strikes on its key energy facilities, which provide resources and capabilities for Iran’s war and terrorism apparatus and for attacks against Israeli civilians. “In accordance with the directives of the prime minister and myself, the IDF is on alert and prepared to carry out the mission. “Such a blow would set Iran back decades and further destabilize the ayatollah regime, which the Iranian people so deeply despise and long to see fall.” https://x.com/osint613/status/2097983900807000456?s=46 |

You are saying you don't believe Iran was working on building a nuke?? They just liked to enrich uranium above 20% for no reason? Or that they do it in deep underground mountain facilities cause it's keeps their workers out of the hot desert sun? They just have an aerospace division to provide Starlink internet to their citizens? They have been developing IRBMs cause they like their finished shapes maybe? Hmmm to the rest of us these are called clues. |
