| I just listened to it. I haven’t looked up any of the holdings yet to see how the book has aged. Anyone tried / doing it? It seems like a better strategy for the end of your life. Several seem to have reduced risk over bonds from a default standpoint and interest rate risk. |

I haven’t read the book but I’ve read some articles on Seeking Alpha by the author. His strategy(s) are interesting but with a goal of 10% return the effort involved isn’t worth it IMO. His whole shtick seems to be to get you to subscribe to him to get the latest tickers that fit the strategy. If you’re going to DIY his framework it is anything but passive IMO. The high yielding stuff requires constant monitoring to make sure the NAV isn’t eroding. I know he’s recommended MLPs before and K1s can make doing your taxes a huge headache. Ultimately I’m suspicious of anyone selling me on an income stream when their own income stream is book sales. |
