If I want to quote someone and attach one of the subject things, it always inserts it into the quoted post, then I have to delete it, and try it again before the system put it into my own post. Am I missing something? Here's a before for example, I want to quote this person, cursor is as shown,  Then it always inserts these things here. I have to always delete them and reset my curosor to get it to insert them in the right spot.  This is using "classic" view. |

@JustinU235 I'm able to reproduce your issue, as you can see in the video below: Check the video Essentially, if the cursor is flashing and you attempt to insert an image in the editor, it will place the image where the cursor was located, as shown in the video, my first attempt. However, if I place the cursor and click outside the editor before clicking the insert image button, the image will be inserted at the very beginning of the quote. Please try both and let us know if you are encountering the same behavior. I hope the first scenario works for you. We will prepare a fix so that if the editor is not focused (the cursor is not inside/not flashing), any insert (Image, Link, Video, Emoji, Meme) will be placed at the end of the content to avoid breaking the quotes. |

I just tried, confirming curor is flashing, and it stil inserted into quote. More data, I'm using Brave Browser with SHIELDS DOWN on arf. Not sure if that affects anything. I appreciate you looking into it and preparing a fix. |

OK so maybe this might help. If I try to attach a gif using the gif button in the editor, with cursor blinking, using the first tab for generic gifs from the internet, it works fine. If I switch to the tab for arf gifs, it inserts into the quote, so perhaps the act of switching tabs causes the cursor to stop blinking in the background. ETA yep I think that's it and that is the only instance now that we narrowed it down that it's inserting things into the quote. When I select the arf gif tab, and then X out of it, the cursor is gone as shown in your video. That explains it. |

When clicking toolbar buttons, the cursor position is stored, and the content is inserted at the cursor's last position. Since attaching GIFs has a search field inside the pop-up, the cursor resets, causing the image to be inserted at the very top of the editor. If there is a quote at the top, it will be inserted within the quote. We will push a fix soon. Instead of inserting the image at the top, it will be inserted at the bottom on a new line, which will resolve many issues. Thank you for providing the details; they are very helpful. 🤜🤛 |
