Just finished a NG+ playthrough. I’ve never immediately rolled right into a NG+ in 30+ years of gaming til now. And it’s even better the second time. Since I actually know what’s happening now so picking up on the foreshadowing and the hints n stuff hit WAY different. I really don’t see how this doesn’t win several awards. Voice acting, story, music. First time I ever listened to game OST outside the game for that matter as well. I’ll stop gushing now |

Did anyone else do their entire play through without spoilers or watching walkthroughs? This is probably the first rpg that I never looked anything up, bo build ideas, hidden item locations. I even intentionally stayed away from most of the side content because I didnt want to get over powered. I made that mistake with elden ring, I did everything I could and the end was not as hard as I had imagined it might be. I keep thinking about this game, it just all came together perfectly for a group that had never done this before. Fucking amazing. A story about grief with no true happy ending. |

I played through without spoilers but did go online a time or two when I was stumped or to figure out some game mechanic I didn't understand because the game didn't explain it. But yeah, my favorite game of 2025. Gameplay was fun, graphics were amazing and the story was mesmerizing. 10+ out of 10. Deserves game of the year, and I'm one who doesn't care for 3rd person shooters. |
