1) Add an option to user preferences to have the IM "Save Copy in Sent Folder" checkbox checked. It's annoying that the box has to be manually checked every time a message is sent. Sent messages are automatically saved in almost every other messaging system. I'm not asking it to even be the system-wide default, just a preferences option. This should be pretty easy to implement. 2) But a better thing IMO, would be to redo the IM feature so that instead of it being single messages back and forth, it's more like a private thread that just two people are posting in. 3) Improve on the EE offer/acceptance process. Sellers should have the option of entering their payment info for whatever payment options they'll accept (i.e. Zelle/Venmo/Paypal usernames, mailing address for money orders, crypto addresses, whatever). Then when they accept a bid, the system can automatically provide those options to the buyer. Similarly, the system should allow a buyer to input their shipping address, so it's automatically provided to a seller once they mark payment as sent. Finally, there should be a way for the seller to input a tracking link for the package. Tie all that into the seller's "Sold Listings" EE page or the buyer's "Purchases" page. Then it's easy to see which sales or purchases are waiting for payment or shipment, sort of like Gunbroker's dashboard. If that's where the sales/purchase status is, then more people will see the "Feedback" button and presumably use it more often. Yes, I buy and sell a bit on the EE. |
