The International Defensive Pistol Association, Inc. (IDPA), in response to numerous reports and videos, is immediately prohibiting the use of the SIG Sauer P320 in all of it’s variants from any competition or event under the name of IDPA. All other SIG Sauer models may be used in the division appropriate for their configuration. The goal of IDPA is safety first for our members, competitors, staff and spectators and all others associated with any IDPA event. While we have no direct knowledge of the potential technical defect of the weapon system, the volume of ranges, organizations and military units declaring a problem has made it too visible to deny. We will re-evaluate this decision in the future if new credible information emerges. We are aware that this decision will affect a limited number of competitors at the National Championship. Please understand that safety for all in the sport is paramount. For those affected, please contact [email protected] . Division changes for those affected will be allowed until August 8. And Sig still refuses to admit fault and still stands by the 320.

I will never buy another Sig product based on how they've handled this situation. Everyone makes mistakes, but their response (particularly suing people/groups that don't want to use their shit products) is inexcusable. No more Sig. Ever. Too bad too, because I was really thinking hard on an a P226X5. Oh well, there are certainly other alternatives. |

I won't buy anymore Sig products not because they apparently designed a defective pistol, but because of how they have handled the situation. It makes me lose all faith and trust in them. They clearly put profit above the safety of their customers through their response. |

If a large enough number of people do the same, they could be in for a whoopin' Of course, much has to do with military contracts i suppose I think they will end up having to restructure/get bought out as a result of the 320 issues. they set up a giant infrastructure aimed at becoming a one stop shop for defense contracts that was funded directly through the 320's success in the LE and consumer market and that's going to abruptly disappear. even if they don't pay a single dollar in the lawsuits, the loss of that revenue stream is going to have a dramatic impact on sig. Add in the public perception issue of sig selling dangerous guns and that's going to be tough to overcome. I could see the following: sig defense for 320/MCX foreign military sales Sig Legacy for 22X series Sig Precision for the 210/211's |

It's already begun. People have been talking about their LGS refusing to take in P320s and pulling them off the shelves. One online retailer in the big thread has pulled all P320s from available inventory. Gun Broker has no-reserve starting at $0.01 P320s now, too. |
