| Just finished watching The Conjuring because it's almost Halloween and that's what one does. Head into the bathroom to draw my shower. All of the sudden I hear a loud video being played. Figured it was my wife on her phone, but it's odd for her to be playing a video that loud as our sons asleep across the hall. Wait a minute and the loud video doesn't stop playing. I venture out into the hallway and the children's video is coming from the office. It's my son's tablet that just randomly began playing on the highest volume. Out of the blue. Coincidental? |

If I'm not mistaken, you've posted a couple of these in the recent past. Is a fixation with the occult becoming a more prominent theme in your consciousness? ETA: Is it something that you are eager to expereince--and if so, why? What are you looking for, exactly? Proof of something larger than the what you routinely encounter in your personal day-to-day existence? |

This was super weird. We've had that tablet since the beginning of the year and it's never just started a video by itself on the highest volume. And certainly not after watching a movie about paranormal activity. I think I'm screwed. |

I personally see it as a spiritual warning flag when someone begins noticing patterns of occult activity in their lives--especially if they are curious and want to pursue them. Basically (assuming the phenomena are genuine) I see a spiritual trap being baited. When you mentioned it previously I noted that you did so in close proximity to mentioning the birth of your child. Those two pieces of information became co-joined in my perception. Do you have anyone in your family tree who practiced the occult? |

No such thing as ghosts. Only demons. If ghosts were real, hospitals would literally be night of living dead. But they aren't. I had to live in one for 2 months. But demons? That stuff is real. And if you are seeing them, your soul is in danger. They haunt the weak. |

Ghosts are resonant sounds or images impressed upon a particular section of space time by causation unknown. That causation will NEVER be understood in our lifetime. Ghosts are nothing to fear. Spirits are a different matter. Unlike what Christians would like you to believe, there seems to be various kinds of spirits; some of which are, without ANY doubt, malevolent and dangerous as all get out. Others seem to just be ambivalent with unknown motivations. Some seem to be good but aren't very easy to understand as to their motivations, either. The best advice I can give someone concerning spiritual creatures of any kind is this: "FOOLS SHOULD NOT PLAY WITH THINGS THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!!" |

Very rare we notice anything in the new house, maybe 1-2 times per year a quick "event" of some sort. Quiet is nice  The Indian drums we have *somewhere* on recording from one night with the recorder outside is cool. I should try to find all those files of evidence we collected over the years. Lots of voices and noises recorded. Also had video of stuff being moved, but that hard drive crashed |

If your imagination is getting excited by the blank, awful mystery of the unknown, that is generally unhelpful. You say that you believe in God--so if things get sinister and strange, call on Him for help. I myself came to understand the meaning of calling on God as a Rock, a Shield, and a Fortress. He is all of those things. But more than that--the creatures of hell are real, and yes, they prowl earth seeking the destruction of souls, they are mostly kept at bay from everyday folk by God's grace, but sometimes the door is opened for them, even unwittingly--but Jesus Christ, by His death and resurrection, has destroyed the power of hell--all you have to do is accept His Mercy and His forgiveness. An Exorcist I once assisted recommends this simple prayer for the spiritually oppressed: Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ Save Us and The Whole World. Be Blessed. |
