My 2022 Toyota Tacoma is HEAVILY modified. Most recently I've replaced the bumper which involved taking off the front grill. The front grill has a MM wave radar in it. This thing is apparently very touchy and if you look at it cross-eyed it will go into a failed state. I did a bunch of research and the NHTSA actually recommends disability the Pre-Collision system in a situation like mine. So I paid for the 2 day techstream to disable it. Problem is that when I have techstream software scan it, it isn't showing a calibration error...it is showing that the module just isn't communicating. So I have to take my truck to Toyota and try to get them to fix my truck without saying that everything has to be returned to factory. |

The Honda emblem on the grill was dirty and wouldn’t let the car go back into gear without shutting down, open the door and then close the door and restart it. I carry a can of glass cleaner in the car to clean the emblem. If the sun is behind me and I’m going into a right curve in the road I get all kinds of bells and whistles going off with oncoming traffic. Especially a white box truck. God, I wish that system could be disabled. |

You do know if you open the door without a seat belt on you can’t put it in gear right? |

Is that worded correctly? Can or can’t ? I’ve tried to put it in gear with the door open and it wouldn’t work. Wanted to move the car about a foot closer to my trailer. It was my SIL driving it at the time. I had it act up on me like that one time but I don’t remember exactly what happened. |

It’s a safety feature due to the push button shifter and idle stop. |
