Thanks! He should get to about 45ish pounds we're thinking, based on his parents. It's been a long time since we had a baby, as we always adopt/rescue, but my wife has wanted one forever, so here we are, while we still have the energy and time to put in the work.

Had his first taste of steak last night, some ribeye trimmings, and pretty sure he had a food orgasm if that's a thing. He was passed out almost cold for a few hours after consumption.

I'd never even heard of a Keeshond before my wife announced we were getting one. These are about two weeks old, and he's grown since then.

Every ''Hitch Hiker plant in my locale would lean toward a dog with fur like that. Cute for sure but it would be shaved bald in about one season. |

I had a Spitz that would WATCH a dog do a trick and then immediately do it herself. Crazy smart but a one person loyal dog to an extreme degree. Not mean or anything but didn't want anything to do wit anyone else when I was around. Great watch dog, she even tagged the meter reader who bragged she got along with ANY dog and stupidly entered my fenced and gated back yard [pool] to read the electric meter. I razzed her for decades over that. 30 pound dog that thought it was the size of an elephant. Saved my kid when he was 1 and in a stroller though when the asshole behind me let out a great dane and it went after the wife and kid, got gutted but it kept the dog away from the wife and kid. She had to get sewn up because her intestines were hanging out the cut. Yes we called the cops, and yes they paid the vet bills, and yes, I told both the owners and the cops if I ever saw it loose, I WOULD kill it. Period. |

He just did his first bona fide "big boy" walk, and I'd guess he did about a mile. I don't think he's ever been this worn out.
