I know I should probably ugrade from the Artillery Genius Pro, but have questions about modding it..

I've got this Artillery Genius Pro and I really don't want to buy a whole new printer when this one did everything I needed it to do until the mainboard decided to start acting up. 99% of what I print doesn't need to be high resolution prints albeit this printer did make pretty decent prints when it worked. Anyways, it has the MKS Pi Klipper and that is working, but the Ruby 1.2 board is flakey and I want to replace it. I have a spare new in box Creality 4.2.7 board. Was thinking of installing that and picking up a header for the dual Z axis. I've thought about buying a new board with 4 drivers, but not sure which would be the best. Any suggestions would be great. I was also given a Raspberry Pi 5 8gig. Thinking maybe just replace everything, but the main question is the mainboard. Thoughts? |
