| I'd go with the guitar, you know to avoid the arfcom curse, etc. I didn't know of her and google didn't provide much info. Her age is somehow still a secret to the web, at least by my efforts. She has done gigs with Smashing Pumpkins. How did you cross paths with the song video? All this recent talk of Yamaha guitars has started some GAS for me, I was over it, but now this, thanks! |

I think I am going to go play that guitar but will have to drive 2 hours to get to one in stock. I have been listening to that guitar on youtube demos and it sounds great when mic'd, I don't particularly like pizeo pickup sounds though. I would prefer a guitar with no pickup, but that is really limiting. This is a sitka spruce gloss top with dark Indian Rosewood sides and back with Tusq nut and saddle and quality electronics and seems to be a great price for what you get made in japan. I didn't used to think the cutaway was for me, but after having a cutaway CE size, I think I do want a Dread with a cutaway. |

In the other thread, I mentioned my next one would be probably be an A5; their highest tier with a cutaway. I'd consider a LL36 if they had a cutaway variant. There are things I like to do up to the 17th fret...I grew up on a Takimane cutaway dred. |

I would prefer if it had no electronics, but maybe that would come in handy some day, but I doubt it. It think the under saddle pickup robs vibration to the top, but that is just an engineering opinion not an observation. |
