From the fears of revolution in the start of the century, to the commie hunts in the McCarthy era, to the fears of communist aggression in Korea and Vietnam, when did Democrat politicians begin to espouse values and idealogy on par with Communists?
I can’t imagine what would happen if leading Democrats of today were sent back into the 50’s. I’m guessing they’d be jailed or worse. What was the turning point. Our free speech combined with looser values in the 60s and 70s? Sheep....I mean voters and human nature of wanting free shit? |

Freedom allowed it, communism will end freedom...if we allow it

They used our own tolerance to get the knife against our throat. |

Congressional RecordAppendix, pp. A34-A35
January 10, 1963 Current Communist Goals EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Thursday, January 10, 1963 Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America. At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen: U. S. Congressional Seal[From "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen] CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS 1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war. 2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war. 3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength. 4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war. 5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites. 6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination. 7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N. 8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N. 9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress. 10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N. 11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.) 12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party. 13. Do away with all loyalty oaths. 14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office. 15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States. 16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights. 17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks. 18. Gain control of all student newspapers. 19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack. 20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions. 21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures. 22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms." 23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art." 24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press. 25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV. 26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy." 27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch." 28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state." 29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis. 30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man." 31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over. 32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the cultureeducation, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc. 33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus. 34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities. 35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI. 36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions. 37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business. 38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat]. 39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals. 40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce. 41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents. 42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems. 43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government. 44. Internationalize the Panama Canal. 45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court You may not find these 45 Communist Goals on the Web in it's original form because in 1963 there were no digitized documents. You will find web sites that have copied them as I have. Call your local library and you can obtain an original copy there. Or ask your U. S. Congressional Member. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Soviet Union, all there was left in the world is the white-washed Peoples' Republic of China brand of capital-communism. These kids have grown up without the spectre of Soviet Communism threatening Europe and the globe, without the fear of nuclear weapons raining down on us. So the communists in academia have been brainwashing your children with revisionist and white-washed visions of communism, filling their heads full of "freedoms from medical bills, Freedom from unemployment, freedom from speech that doesn't meet the DNC agenda, freedom from starvation, all at the expense of our real, God-given Constitutional Rights.
After over 16years of being lied to and manipulated by academia, television, Hollywood and social media, its no wonder these weak willed and easily psychologically-triggered would chose the workers' paradise as envisioned by their professors instead of actually being brave to enter the world to achieve success and prosperity on their own blood, sweat and tears. |

“The finest opportunity ever given to the world was thrown away because the passion for equality made vain the hope for freedom.” - Lord Acton
Now this was in reference to original sin, but it applies very well to human nature, and after all if you are religious you know that this original sin was mans first and greatest. Man seeking to be a God or be God, made man throw away their freedom and paradise. Perhaps this too, “It is always so tempting to try and do good with other people’s money.” -Milton Friedman. |

Because despite the propaganda, life was really, really hard for the working class in this country during the period of the 1870s to the 1930s. Families kept losing everything during bank crashes while the fat cats never had to tighten their belts, paying miners in script and then sending in hired thugs to kick their asses when they tried to unionize for things like safety standards and pay in cash, chained doors and factory fires leading to dozens dead repeatedly, child labor required to keep the family fed instead of sending the kid to get an education, a complete lack of any kind of a social safety net, we can keep going.
And here come the Communists who say "wait a minute. It doesn't have to be this way..." It's no wonder it took hold, just like the French Revolution a century before and the Occupy Wall Street movement a century later. |

American communists have been attacking our society since the mid 1900's, slowly, with the long game method of infiltrating our government and educational systems in order to destroy and decay our traditions and values. Religion used to be the bedrock of this country's greatest strengths and was what our constitution was based upon. They've been destroying those values by normalizing and aggressively promoting homosexuality, sexual promiscuity of all kinds, illegal and abusive drug usage, all while attacking our religions and our core values that made our country strong and great. Now, the majority of our citizens are atheists (which communists espouse as their greatest value beside their fraudulent claim that everyone is equal, unless you're not one of the government overlords) who reject our values and disrespect our history, our constitution, and anything that requires sacrifice to do the right thing. The foreign communists have used the domestic communists (Useful Idiots) to destroy and decay our society and societal structure from within. It's like the cancer of communism has weakened and decayed our bones and muscles until we are just a hollowed out shell of our former greatness. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

As with every other country that isn't a total shit show, as the urban population increases the previously aforementioned population explodes. It's an inevitable progression.

View Quote Obviously the cure is just as bad, but after seeing the excesses of the robber barons and what Wall Street was up to and the conditions in mills, mines, foundries, and factories across the country, it really was no wonder that normal people just wanted someone to fix the situation. The one great failing of Capitalism is that it does require moral men to do what is right and not just what is profitable and all too often the moral part gets tossed aside in the pursuit of more money, and there is no real brake on that except for government. I'm sure there is a happy medium, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to get there. |

You'll notice... the love of Communism and its acceptance found its path through the weakness of the Democratic Party - like a virus, attacking the host at its weakest link.
Why? They have been, and are, the party of: Slavery War (Civil War, World War One AND Two, Korea, Vietnam, and the insanity of "Arab Spring," if you recall, although the Republicans loves them some too) Jim Crow Unilateral nuclear disarmament in the face of Soviet aggression Welfare ("We'll have them %@>=,&× voting Democrat for the next 200 years!" - Johnson) Gun Control Lovin' Russia during the era of Soviets AND hatin' Russia presently China appeasement Israel - hatin' The Middle East - can't react with strength Cuba - smoking cigars with tyrants? Really? Iran - who gives billions to terrorists to convince them to not be terrorists? Who is that naive? NAFTA - millions of lost jobs Every kind of voting crime - Tammany Hall, and Chicago (vote early, VOTE OFTEN) Illegal Immigration - loves them some illegal alien voters Crime from the 1960s to now School choice - ONLY .GOOB SCHOOLS ARE BEST!! Annnnd I could go on. And on. And on. Pick an issue - the Dems will consistently and predictably select the worst of all possible positions on it. Why? Because there is a strong tide of mental illness amongst Leftists. Leftist ideology is SELF HATRED, which is suicidal and destructive. Communism, with it's long history of being "an idea so good you vote it in, but shoot to get out of" would, by necessity, be an idea attractive to one with mental illness. There you go. |

Communism rose it’s ugly head in the late 1800s in Europe. As the 1917 revolution in Russia attests to. Britain was very worried about it. Spain had a civil war over it. FDR did pretty good introducing it to the States in the 1930s. As I recall his administration had a few commies in administration leadership. Trade Unions were founded in its principles for undermining capitalism. Pretty much everything Joe McCarthy warned about was true. Hollywood had plenty of Socislists and commies at least as early as the 50s. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I'm not sure that it is fair to say trade unions were founded just to subvert capitalism as much as it was the labor realizing they had the power to be more than just expendable cogs in some corporate machine simply by banding together. You have to remember the conditions early unions were fighting against. No real safety in mills and mines, pay in script and forced to live in company towns, gun thugs used against striking miners, pushed into the company store syndrome, and so on.
Granted the unions outlived their reason for being after the National Labor Relations Act of 1933, and since then they have only been to get employees more money and to give union leadership a fat paycheck, but in the late 1800s and earl 1900s conditions flat sucked if you were just labor. |

If you’re a nobody or a dumbass college kid or a black or a woman with no self esteem, Socialism and Communism seems like a good idea. “Taken care of” from cradle to grave.
But the reality is that it is shared misery and that all government is inherently evil. I do see an irony in people crying bogeyman over Russia yet wave Soviet flags around. Plus few people now had to live during the Cold War. Nobody these days know how utterly arresting a Special Report could be in the middle of the afternoon or walking in on a Civil Defense test and not know if it was a test. I remember Cable News without the constant ticker at the bottom. That happened because of 9/11. So now I don’t watch the news. Screw em |
|
But put yourself in the role of a miner or millhand in 1920. What do you know about Communism? They overthrew an autocratic tsar. They got out of a war that had killed millions or poor schmucks just like you. You may even have ended up in France with a gun, killing people who really presented no threat to you and yours, and for what?
Then you come home, lose everything you have in the bank crash of 1919 while the Wall Street fat cats are still living large. You still have a job, but you're paid in script. You have no safety equipment at work because your boss doesn't want to spend the money. What are your options? Can't make a union because you have bills to pay and mouths to feed. Can't go on strike or you get kicked out of your company owned housing. And paid thugs and bought off sheriffs will kick your ass and put you in jail if you try to speak up for yourself alone, and you're branded a trouble maker if you go it in a group. So from your perspective, capitalism isn't all that great. Yeah, you have all kinds of stuff you can buy, but you're still getting paid in script. Communism might not be all that bad from where you stand. Your sons might feel differently when they get back from Korea and have been told about all the bad things Lenin and Stalin did in the 20s and 30s and 40s, but those things hadn't happened yet in 1920. You just want a fair shake for once. It sucks, but that was the mindset for a whole lot of workers in the 1920s. |
