I'll be buying a PM1228 in the next few days. I like the idea of having a rolling tool chest under it for several reasons. Tool and accessory storage, duh. Portability, military family moves, looking at one in November, so wheels is good. According to the PM manual the mounting bolts are 49.21" apart max. I think this roller would fit, just perfectly. Tell me why I'm a genius with this idea. oh, I currently have 9x20 (i think) china pos on a smaller tool chest.  Roller |

If you do it, you might want to swap the roller cart casters to something like these. https://www.amazon.com/Leveling-Upgraded-Adjustable-Workbench-Capacity/dp/B0DK1R2LQW Only other thing might be beefing up the top surface depending what you go with. |
| A tool box is not a good base for a lathe. You might get away with it for a smaller 6x18 or 9x20, but not a bigger one. If you totally ignore the noise and things vibrating all the time, you still have an amount of weight the casters won't like and the risk of tipping it over. |

I mounted my 11x27 to a Husky box. Mobile workbench I have moved it all over the shop for six years without an issue. It rolls easily. I used threaded inserts to mount it to the wood top. |
