My 12 year old Siberian Huskey's rear joints have been getting worse and worse. He was barely able to get up, and last night he just couldn't and pooped where he laid. He would not get up this morning. He also had fatty liver, and he seemed to be in pain the last couple of weeks. I may have waited too long, but today we saw the vet and he crossed over that bridge. That is a beautiful pup. And I hear you. Our oldest collie girl just turned 13 & is showing her age. Don't think she'll go too much longer. It's part of the gig & it sucks. But you give them everything, no regrets except their departure. So know you gave him the life he deserved, & that's the best you can do. How does the saying go? While alive, he lived. Bet he probably couldn't have done it without you. I'd be a worse person without the animals I've had in my life. Taught me many valuable lessons, especially how to value the things in life that really matter, instead of the superficial, temporal nonsense that we too often get wrapped up with. Cry, & then rest.
