My Camaro has been sitting and the tires are pretty old and my wheels are looking rough. After pricing out refinishing, I've decided I'm probably better off getting new wheels. The current wheels are 18s and I want to step down to 17s for more sidewall. The car is a 1990, so the same body style as 85-90. My deal breakers are torque thrust style or snowflakes. Don't get me wrong, torque thrust are a great looking wheel, just not on a f body. My front runner at the moment is the boyd speedster with the black inset but I also like the ridler 606 and American racing vn501 because those remind me of the old keystone classics. So the requirements are 17", I prefer an 9" width but 8" would be acceptable and a 7" if the style I like isn't available wider, and around $1000 for the wheels before tires. i was going to suggest Weld, Fikse , billet specialties or Forgeline, but none fit your budget what about vette style rims? (zr1 & the like) weird that Summit doesnt even list 17" as avail |
