| Tired of my typical buzz cut. Blessed or cursed with fast growing thick hair that has yet to turn grey, despite my beard being almost completely grey. Wanting to get to a little longer than shoulder length but is there any way to avoid the i between period where you just look like a bum who needs a haircut? My wife keeps telling me I need it styled and cut for it to look good and grow longer. Cut to grow longer??? That makes no sense. I'm thinking probably 1.5-2 years without a cut to get to the length I want. Suggestions ? |

It is a myth that cutting it will make it grow faster. If you want longer hair you shouldn't get it cut more than twice a year and then only to trim the ends. You can use rosemary oil to protect your ends after you shower but if you're not using any heat (hair dryer:flat iron) you shouldn't need it. Since you have a healthy hair growth you probably don't need anything else, but if you don't eat a lot of vegetables and nuts you can add some biotin supplements and gelatin (I use non flavored gelatin for my hair and nails.) Other than that you can train your hair to grow away from your face and eyes. Comb it when wet so it is away from your face and apply rosemary oil (just a dab that you thin by rubbing it in your hands,) use it to brush your hair away from your eyes and face. Just keep at it and eventually it will not hang in your eyes. You're a man so a hat is helpful. How long is your hair now? |
