LOL yeah a little dated. BLS gives me over $2200 for 2026, and then factor in tariffs… and you get closer to recent prices. I paid $2800 for mine a few months ago. Also add in the absence in the US market for three decades and the prices make more sense. |

Bought a SP5 a few years ago at dealer cost so I think I'll live. Shouldn't much matter arfcom buys the child labor just as gud knock offs. All I read is just get brand X and swap out parts for HK parts so it will run lol. HK hates you because everyone on arf buys cheap built knock offs and then bitches because they are halting imports.  Kinda don't blame them 90% of all sales are turk guns on the US. |

H&K totally fucked themselves in regards to civilian sales, which would easily be 10x gov sales. All they had to do was smile and offer decent guns at reasonable prices, and pretend to like the customer in the process. Instead, they scowled, grudgingly offered a few guns …eventually, at sky high prices as they openly hated customers for wanting to buy one. End result… a dozen different companies started selling mp-5 clones for various price points, from 1/3 hk prices to 2/3 hk prices, and all sell out as fast as they can crank them out. |

The “HK hates you …. etc” is funny, but not remotely true (anymore). HK FINALLY released the SP5s in the US, and everybody creamed their jeans. I know I did. The SP5s have been available for a long time. If you hadn’t bought one by now, you probably never were. We all know their guns cost a shit load. Thus why the MP5-Jihad models have sold so well. It’s probably put HK in a position that its not profitable to export them to US anymore, with glut of Ottoman guns. An actual HK MP5 was always a grail gun for me, and now I’m really glad that I have a couple, especially since they’re turning off the tap. |
