I typically eat about 1800-2000 calories a day, farm, ride dirt bikes, play hockey occasionally and lift three times a week. No, I don’t bench 400 lbs, but I don’t want to. I find it much more useful to have a balance of strength, speed, long distance endurance and lighter weight. YMMV. This is the way. Fatties are gonna fatty. Food doesn't have to be expensive. You need to feed yourself and your family, not a small village. Unless your family is a small village. In which case the church can help you with the food. |

I can’t control it so no use in complaining, yep I have been cutting back on eating out that’s for sure. What a waste of money and I gained 10 pounds from eating like garbage. Back to Whole Foods. Picked up 5 pounds of beef round eye roast for $5.99 at Costco today. There Ribeye didn’t seem much more expensive then it was before. Probably only will get worse with Ukraine going full retard and blowing a bunch of refineries. For some reason I have a feeling it’s going to get interesting there. |

There isn't much that tracks increases in just necessities - so unless you blow fat stacks on luxury items every year, the reported inflation numbers mean jack fuck to you, because the massive decrease in electronics and luxury items keeps the reported number low (just ignore that two 16GB sticks of RAM cost about what an entire mid-range gaming PC cost 5 years ago). They also don't increase things like vehicles dollar for dollar. Now my car has bluetooth and a bunch of features I never wanted to begin with, so they claim I'm getting "more bang for my buck" and despite the fact that cars now cost 10x what they did in 1970, they don't call it a 1,000% increase. They pull some arbitrary number out of their dick to account for all the extra cheap bullshit they slap on vehicles these days. I have had to work more overtime just to be able to have anything left to invest . I have only seen a five percent pay increase over that time and almost nobody I know got a raise or anything more than a couple percent. Most all of the people I know are tradesman or skilled labor of some kind. All experiencing pretty much the same result. What pisses me off is trump and Republicans gaslighting me about how they stopped inflation or whatever. I don't give a fuck if wages are now keeping a steady pace with inflation. Trump and Biden erased about thirty percent of my income. Until I see wages outpacing inflation to give me that thirty percent back they can both suck my dick. |

Big fish go to the processing plant, other fish go directly to the local market. I believe most decision makers will take the big fish plan of less volume and capital expenditure every time. Regardless of the possibility of the local market struggling and it’s customers losing out. |

One that was mentioned was Costco and Sam's club. That would be a huge deal. Another part of his proposal was allow everyone to create a tax deferred HSA up to $25,000 a year. Those two things would be huge improvements to the healthcare system. It gives the people the option to save for medical bills, instead of requiring people to take a high deductible plan before they can only save up a small portion of that deductible in a HSA. |

Diesel has been high on year. That immediately increases the cost of everything. If it costs more to transport, prices go up. Beef is really screwed, the corn planted this year with high diesel won't be harvested until this fall. Then it has to be dried and will be used as animal feed all next year. The beef processed a year from now will cost even more than the beef being processed right now. Back in April I said he need the war wrapped up by the end of the month so prices could recover by mid-terms and people would have forgotten. Congress could have stepped in too and made things even easier for gas, oil, and energy productions...but didn't. I wish there was a way Speaker Johnson could feel the pain he is causing most people the country to experience. Just dropping to minority leader isn't enough. Who gave Trump the bad intel on how easy Iran would be? Why hasn't he thrown them under the bus yet? |
