| According to what I’m hearing the Government is going to release all pre-1986 full autos that were originally transferred on form 5’s back onto the transferable market for resale. |
|
You're on the end of a game of telephone. I'm unsure whether the original info was about the recent reclassification of certain presamples as transferrables, or about CMP M14's that will be sold as semi-autos, but it's almost certainly one of those two. |

Wasn't this known a couple years ago? ATF to Reclassify Certain Pre-86 Dealer Sample Machine Guns as Fully Transferable |
| These are likely beat to hell, but may have some value to collectors and military history buffs. The real value is that they could be used to swell NFRTR registrations of transferable machine guns to facilitate "common use" challenges to both 922(o) and NFA regulation of machine guns before a new (and potentially anti-gun) administration takes office in January 2029. This would be the logical next step in 2A litigation after the Viramontes/Grant decision is released in June 2027. |

I can’t stand it to think my life is going so fast and I’m not really living it.

"Positive rights" are neither.

| Looking at the topic, I have some thoughts. Def like the coolness and the putting them on the market... Won't argue with that. However... outside of investment, why would somebody spend $50k on a HK MP5 trasferable over a regularly available $3k version with an FRT? |

Some states dont allow FRT's but allow registered machine guns. Some people believe FRT's can be banned anytime especially when dems are back in power. |

Reason why these were only available to LEA's Had to put in the auto sear and replace the selector lever. Full auto. Fun fact, mine arrived titled in my name since I bought it on a letterhead. I should have kept it. |

Really. Just get an FRT. FA prices are beyond stupid now. But, Yeah, maybe the commies will make FRTs illegal, so - |

I have done some comms work for them and also run the local range they use for training and qualifications. They recently upgraded to AR's so maybe I can convince the Sheriff to transfer one over to me?

In my state, agencies can get them for $100 per rifle, which is an administrative fee charged by the State of Louisiana (but the feds maintain ownership). |

Same reason someone buys a Ferrari instead of a Mustang, because they can. At this point there are primarily three classes (no pun intended) of transferable MG owners: 1: Those that bought early before the prices got crazy. 2. Owners of “cheap” MGs like MACs. 3. Those with “fuck you” money. |
I suggest we trade a question mark in for a maybe.

| A sheriff's office in my area has a Thompson that was used in a shootout against Dillinger. If that goes to auction it will be very interesting to see what it brings after what happened with Bonnie and Clyde's shotgun. |
