Went to Wailea this weekend to check out Bucherer and see what they had in stock. Had a pre-certified Submariner for $15k. Asked about a new Submariner price and it is going for $11K. Asked what is the process in getting on the wait list for the Submariner and the sales rep shows me a QR code on his phone to scan. I fill out the form, and that was it. From what I've researched, the wait time is about a year depending on demand for the Submariner. I've inquired on another forum and visitors actually was able to acquire Rolex watches here on the island without much difficulty. Hopefully this local boy will luck out. Want to get something special for my retirement which is coming up in a few months.

| Congrats on the upcoming retirement. I hope you get the watch you want. If the AD doesn't come through, the real watch experts here will steer you in the direction of the best gray market sellers. Personally, I think everybody should stop playing Rolex's waiting game. They'll learn pretty quickly the gig is up. Good luck! |

| Well what I have going for me is that I am a local resident here on the island so hopefully the AD will be more willing to sell to a local that is a first time buyer who wants to mark an important time his life with a cool retirement gift - a Rolex Submariner. Cool story and maybe I'll get one sooner than later. Ha! |

I lusted after a no date Submariner for years. Finally got two waiting lists here locally about a year before my 40th birthday. No calls from either AD, asked my wife's Uncle out of state who has the spend history with his AD. He got the no date Sub allocation in 2 days. So I had it less than a month from my 40th. Love this watch.

I've heard from other forum members that was visiting the island on Watchuseek that they got the call from the Wailea shop but didn't indicate how long it took. I can wait as I am local to the shop here on Maui and I won't retire until next year. Maybe I'll be fortunate enough in the future to mark my retirement with a Submariner. |

Best wishes for a great and long retirement, and I hope that you get it soon! I’ve been retired for three years now, and I have so much to do, that I don’t know how I ever had enough time to go to work!
