Got my Ancestry results (Page 2 of 2)

Bumped into a guy who was a next door neighbor when growing up. some of his siblings still live in my area but he is out of state so I generally only see him now and then at funerals. It was known that he sold sperm when he was in collage (for beer money) . At some point a couple of years back he did the DNA test thing to find out more about his roots. He and his wife never had kids . He started getting folks contacting him and he ended up getting contact requests from several dozen kids and hundreds of grand kids . He thinks most folks don't bother so there is quite the huge family tree . Apparently back in the day (early to mid 1970) the woman sperm shopping would page thru a book that had a photograph , SAT scores and education and this guy I knew hit high on most of those features |
My buddies dad found out he had a kid with a hooker back when he was in Vietnam. His wife was a good sport about it and teases him "i ruv u rong time"

Its all about your percentages: Gaelic, dead center English mixed with Coastal English, with a smattering of Norman-Nordic and distantly continental Saxon. Almost certainly a descendant of a soldier in the army of William the Conqueror. If you weren't you'd probably have darker hair. Result: You test positive for 100% Scots-Irish Englishman. 85% of white Americans have this exact makeup, more or less. Hope you didn't spend a lot for this news.

I helped an ex find her birth parents. Turns out she has a bunch of half sibling/cousins because Dad was tapping two sisters, long term, at the same time. We also found out that a guy she worked with, who had asked her out on a date in the past, was her cousin. |

Some of that non-participation arises from more people to split gubment benefits, and / or casino benefits with for the various NA tribes / groups. IOW, a lesser portion for those already getting them. I have the father and brothers of one of my maternal ancestors listed on a gubment "Indian" roll, but 23and me says that I have no NA ancestry.
