Want to clone my laptop internal drive to SSD. already have a Kingston SSD and usb external enclosure. I'm needing some cloning software to migrate over to the external drive, then will install the drive into the laptop. I'm away from home, otherwise I'd use Clonezilla on one of my linux boxes. Any recommendations? Most of the "free" ones end up not being free. |

it has been a few years since I switched from a regular hdd to ssd. but when I did it a while back, it causes a boot issue. I had to use a windows repair to fix the boot up portion. there are like 3 levels to the repair and you pick the one that doesn't delete anything, and that seems to work. maybe it is easier now I don't know. just a word of warning just in case. |
