Planning to change to an air switch for operating the garbage disposal instead of the light switch that is currently used. Any thoughts on the InSinkErator switch verses other brands? |

In general I like to stick to name/reputable brands if they involve line voltage. I *think* I have an ISE switch - I'll check when I get home. But if it is my only advice is to not get too stabby when turning it on and off. The button plate can get a little cockeyed and it will stick in the depressed position. |

Much safer probably then a normal switch due to not having the power connected to them. There is definitely power run to the box with the air cylinder which moves the switch to turn on the 120v to the outlet. |

One press down, turns on power to whatever is plugged into the air switch. Another press down turns off power. Able to use both hands when the appliance is running. The Kraus pnuematic switch is better all around. https://www.kraususa.com/accessories/kitchen-accessories/air-switches.html But the InSinkErator disposal is better. |
| Why is the Krause better? I installed a Moen years ago because it was on sale. It worked fine but about a month ago the switch got stuck from generalized crud. When I dismantled it to clean it I popped a glue joint so I might need to replace the whole switch body. |
