Update: Decided on an msi MAG 274QRFW X32 for $299. Better rep, better or at least same specs, and should be here next week. General specs i'm aiming for: ips, 1440p, 300hz, 350~400nits, hdr400, 1ms or less response time. Koorui and sansui seem to be super popular abroad, cheap (relatively speaking) but of course that means qc can be and is spotty. Looking to pick one or the other up (nearly identical specs but leaning sansui due to higher brightness) off amazon (also for return garantee) for just over $200 for either. Also looking at the msi mag q2750qpf x30 at bestbuy with nearly identical specs for $90 more than either of the above, but i can get it in person and if something's wrong, drive it right back and get another. Anyone have experiences, thoughts or opinions on the above? Edit to add, current monitor is a dell G2724D, love it but i can can get well over 165fps in the games i play. Edit to also add, i do not want oled. |

Can you spot a frame to frame difference at 180 frames per second? Or do you just run a shitty monitor with a really slow response time? That's where you will see your ghosting. You know, the time it takes for the display to go from white to black to white again. Grey to grey rating is probably better for gaming and tend to be much faster. Personally I run a 0.5ms display at 180hz. No ghosting here. Hell, my eyes can't see 180hz. I can tell you when it drops below 120ish but not more. My phone runs 165hz all day long too, except when my battery is below 15%. Using the apple computer display at work at are painful at 60hz and the 100hz displays on the CAD box are jittery. If you tell me you can see frames at 300hz I'll call BS because you can't. |

So, do you have any experience with 300hz monitors from the brands I'm looking at? |
