Unbelievable. I was fitted by a Point Blank rep for a vest and outer carrier in OD green FOUR months ago. Galls is the distributor-retailer our agencies use. I’m not sure which is worse between the two! After 90 days, and repeated requests for updates from both, the Galls rep tells the PB rep “oops, it was never ordered”  So now I’m hearing another agency here ordered multiple vests ONE YEAR AGO and are still waiting!! What the heck!!?? I’m wearing a loaner that’s black, which I’m glad to have, but I look like a local armored car guard with a similar color combo. Anyone else dealt with this? |

I don't know what's up with Galls, but our PB distributor is getting us our body armor in about a month and our carriers in under two months. PB has screwed up a few times. They sent armor twice to the same guy so I sent the second one back. And one of our carriers came and was really blue instead of dark navy like the rest. But our distributor sent them back to PB and we got what we ordered. |

I'm in the Louisville, KY area, but thanks for the offer to help! The PB Rep gave me another Distributor to try, Ray O'Herron, and the Rep was awesome. He called me within 5 minutes, and in less than 5 minutes later had an quote and an invoice for me. They are growing and expanding territories and are eager to help. He said that they- unlike Galls- will place the order for even one Officer immediately with PB, they don't wait for multiples, or a once a month or quarter order. I gave the Chief all the information on Monday, didn't get a reply until Friday, in which he was emailing the PB Rep back with "does Galls have the specs and measurements correct to order"?  So not only am I dealing with lazy sales reps, I have to prod the purse-strings to move on and get something done! |

In my experience, the guy measuring the vest (dealer) and point blank, either or both,can be the problem. I had an issue with a Richmond,VA dealer who was a dumbass. He screwed up measuring multiple vests and promised repeatedly, they would be fixed and back within 30 days. 60+ days later, no vest. They had a state contract and the supervision didn't really care, so TFB for me. Several years before that, pre-COVID, I had a direct report that left the agency and came back several months later. In the interim, the quartermaster destroyed the vest. The problem was she was quite buxom. Six months later, after two previous attempts she had an ill-fitting vest, and was back on the street. |
| Galls across the country is terrible. I started at a 1400+ person Sheriff's department and they undercut the old uniform shop to earn $0 profit just to get the account. 10 years later, 3 states from West to East coast and back, and they're all the same. Wrong patches, name tapes in the wrong color, long wait times for the simplest of things, pant legs hemmed at different lengths, you name it and they've managed to fuck it up. No accountability, and there aren't really any competitors so why bother being better when they won't lose your business? |

I see the “Galls sucks” angle has already been covered…. This is the problem with these larger LE supply places, quality goes downhill due to locked in large agency contracts, and when Galls buys them up it always gets worse…. Place called LEED was good around here back in the day, so of course they went out of business…. |

All you had to do was gather what was needed that was special, as she had a few name tapes for each person, lots of agency patches, lots of sgt patches, etc. It was great… |
