Anybody ever take a GUE fundamentals class? Am considering finding an instructor nearby to attempt a fundies class. I hear they’re quite challenging. |

Haha. No. I only dive SM and GUE doesn’t approve. From what I read on SB, there’s a big GUE community in Seattle area. Start with their website or FB page and go from there. |

It’s meant for exploration that can’t be done with doubles. I was referring to Fundies. I had a friend keep pushing me to take Fundies a few years back, but he didn’t get that I can’t do doubles due to my bad knees (I tried), and why would I do Fundies in single tank when I dive SM exclusively? I have serious issues with their rigid way of doing things. I understand why they do it, but that doesn’t mean it works for me. |

It'll probably be the best/most thorough class you'll take, unless you just get a terrible instructor - which is something GUE doesn't seem to have. And that's from someone who has done primarily the SDI and TDI route. Agency doesn't make the instructor, but they are renowned for their standards for a reason. |
