@The_Master_Shake Re BBAI Looks like I’m loosing my shares today via covered call assignment. Took some of the profits and bought Jan 2027 $10/$17 call debit spreads. Cost me $1 / share so potential 7x return in 1.5 years if the stock doubles from here. Figure it’s worth rolling the dice on, if they can’t prove themselves in that timeframe they likely cant. |

Damn $1 a share! I bought 1k/shares in the high 3's and just got lucky with the timing. I told myself when (if) they hit $10 I'll sell half my shares and let the rest ride. I'm not saying they don't have some case for growth but def feels like a momentum trade |

There were a few days however where there was some crazy volume so maybe a big fish was taking a position, maybe we’ll see next time institutions report their holdings (13Fs?). I’m fine with my shares getting called away at $4.50 cause it’s totally possible I’ll be able to buy them back cheaper. If I’m totally wrong there it should bode well for my spreads. Guess I’d say I’m bearish short term and semi bullish long term, they just have some stuff they need to fix: Earlier in this thread Solo and I were talking about PLTR CEO Alex Karp stating on an earnings call how they “couldn’t keep up with demand” and how that was a bit of a red flag since that quarter they only beat EPS by $0.01. If you’re so busy why aren’t you blowing the numbers out of the water? I feel like BBAI has the same issue right now. They have a good product and apparently quite a backlog. If that’s the case why aren’t you GAAP profitable? What needs to be done to get there? Fix that and the market cap doesn’t make sense. BBAI wouldn’t even need to hit $10B for the share price to be over $30. I can see why some people draw similarities between PLTR & BBAI even if I’m not 100% onboard with that comparison. |

Sold half my position on Monday after being up 81+% since April. Did the same in a few other high flyers along with BTU, which was up 55+% in a short time. Not bat for a crusty old coal stock. Earnings and market reactions will be interesting to watch this quarter. Hope I didn't get out too early but lots of moving parts to this market right now. |

@BM1455 When you’re solidly beating the market don’t get hung up on wondering if you left some $$ on the table. I let my first 100 shares go last week via a $135 covered call being exercised. Another 200 shares are on the chopping block for 8-15 at $145 unless we get a pull back. Not too worried about missing out on a few bucks after the ride we’ve had. |

Great thread and examples of we all have different goals and purposes. I haven’t sold anything of anything in the last 3 years. And don’t plan to unless: A companies leadership completely goes sideways Financial fraud Technology is becoming stale and their growth is plateauing (cough AAPL). A bit of a difference in “investing” vs “trading”. Both are quite acceptable but my objective of this post is for some readers to see another side of the story. My plan is to start with the weakest positions when im 55-59 and needing to refill Bucket 1. My wife will still have a professional salary, I’ll have none and we’ll carve off for long term cap gains at the lowest percentage. Im 49 now but have bucket 1, 3 years in cash already, and just building bucket 2 and 3 as fast as I can. Problem I’m running into is our net worth is growing and looking to exit the career game in 8 -12 quarters or even 6 quarters out. |
| Good post SkiandShoot. I’m a firm believer that there are many paths to success and we all have a different idea of what that success even looks like. In a world where many people have a ridged viewpoint where they’re right and anything else is wrong, I’m glad we have a community here in this sub forum where we can bounce ideas off each other. |

I sold about 2/3 of my position a short time ago when it was in the mid 160's. I almost bought a little today before the close but I didn't. After hours it went up but let's see where it goes tomorrow AM about an hour or so after open. |

IMO is hard to get hung up on the PE ratio for a company growing like this in a space where the TAM isn’t even known. |

The reddit crowd cope and seeth... https://old.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/1mhpby0/palantir_smashes_the_1_billion_barrier_posts_48/n6z3a63/ I held this POS stock for two fucking years and all I did was watch it plummet every day. I watched that ugly fuck Karp do earnings calls in the snow while he was cross country skiing and I was down 75%. I couldn’t take it anymore and sold when the stock was at $8. It has not stopped moving up to the right since that day I sold. I moved whatever money that was left into MSFT so whatever but I will forever hate pltr and Karp. |

Pretty much everything decent is also sitting at highs. I have a few names I like but those positions are already filled to the point of being uncomfortable. |

I bought BTU back in early April in the hi $10's and very low $11's. Closed today at $17.24. It was sort of an AI play. ![]() |
