I've been trying to find a deal on a small one for years. I heard that a local machine builder that my company used went under and was having a liquidation auction. They had a Brown and Sharpe 612 that I snagged for $230. My son and I drove an hour and a half today to get it. Unfortunately it didn't include any extra wheels or a diamond dresser. It looks like that accessories are relatively cheap. I'm probably going to use a VFD on it so I can control the spindle speed. I hope to have it powered up soon.
