I have some estate pipes I'm looking to move along. Frankly I'm a bit stumped on how to price these things. Found some dead ringers on pipe sales sites, but unfortunately they were "SOLD" and no price was shown. Others have been similar but not exact, and exact seems to matter somewhat depending on the features (smooth vs rusticated, etc.). If anyone has any idea on a valuation range of these or even just one, I'm all ears. If anyone needs a clearer picture of something just let me know. Each one is "hidden" so the pics don't take up the thread. Estate pipes aren't really a hobby of mine, so the inside baseball on seemingly big differences is lost on me. Just wondering if there were any hobbyist insights on the specific pieces. Valuation range is of course my foremost concern, since I want to get out of them. But also even info like "The Savinelli in that line had X features as standard, but only a few were made with Y features like that one and are worth Z amount more whatever your bottom amount is" or "These are all generally run of the mill and nothing is special about any of them except randomly per buyer cus they're obsessed with a particular feature. They're all worth $45 and not much more." That would be awesome info. Cus at this point, I have no clue what I'm seeing in terms of price differences vs the feature differences. |
