I'm in need of a power washer for residential use and looking for some recommendations. Looking at the electric (RY142500-RY31SC312) Ryobi 2500 psi Kit with the 12in surface cleaner. Would use the washer about 3-5 times per year for cleaning up the house and vinyl railing of alge and the surface cleaner for the pavers on deck. I have 15amp breakers outside the home. Reading some of the Home Depot and Lowes reviews for these types of units available are mostly negative . Some reviews written are informative like " this model requires a 30amp breaker" others seem sceptical like " I used it one time, it burned out and the manufacturer refused the warranty ",. Please let me know what model you have had successfully used with the least amount of trouble. $300-$500 would be my budget. Thanks |

I've never seen an electric pressure washer that is worth a damn. Get a gas unit with a Honda engine and a Triplex pump. Simpson and Generac are both decently rated, but both have taken a bit of a hit on quality the last five years or so. Simpson especially used to be bullet proof, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Regardless it will be a million times better than any electric unit. |

This is the one I bought simply because Consumer Reports had it rated best. Bauer 23142E-B $379 at HF. It does not do a great job washing cars. It did a decent job of cleaning my driveway. It will clean the shit out of mold on a sidewalk/patio and did a great job on trash cans. For your uses I bet it will do fine. DO NOT let the damn thing run without a full head of water pressure because it will fry the pump innards with a quickness. It took me a while to find parts because Harbor Freight didn't have them online, but now they probably do. It took twenty minutes to service the pump when I did get parts, which were about $30. If it won't do what you want it to do you can probably take it back but check first. Let me know what you end up with. |

I have a GreenWorks 3000 psi electric that I used for 4 hrs this morning to wash the house, screen porch, deck and outdoor furniture. It works great and I don't have to screw around with getting a gasoline one running and pissing off the neighbors at 7 AM when I started today. The only downside is that the flow rate at that pressure is fairly low and you need to be patient and use the turbo nozzle on really tough grime. |

Have been using electric power washers for 35 years. Had a Coleman that would not die. Replaced it in 2017 with a Sun Joe. Also have a Sun Joe chipper. Really happy with both. No, not as powerful as gas, but it does what I need it to do. Sun Joe $169

| Pulled the trigger and Stepped up to the 3000 psi Ryobi. Home Depot had a package that had everything I needed. Used it this Saturday and was surprised how well it preformed. The only negative I see at this point is the memory hose is hot garbage. Ordered a Flexzilla no kink. Thanks for the suggestions. |
