I'm turning 50 next month. I've been smoking a pipe since I was in high school, and Dunhill pipes have always been just too expensive in my mind. Now I want to get a set of Dunhill pipes. I have already purchased a restored 1975 pipe for my birth year, and I want to buy a new 2025 for my 50th. Who do you recommended for an online retailer for new Dunhill pipes. There are two tobacconists in my area, and neither carry anything more high end than Peterson and Savinelli pipes. |

| You also might want to strongly consider a nice estate Dunhill. When I was a tobacconist 20+ years ago, there were "rumblings" of Dunhill "not being what they used to be". The exodus of former Dunhill carvers/artisans leaving to start their own pipe companies (Ashton, Ferndown, Sasieni, Upshall) certainly couldn't have helped that rumor. Is it true? I don't know if it was then, but 20+ years later, I'd wager that they're "not what they used to be"....few things are. |
