I saw some dumbbell grip sleeves the other day and I wondered if they are useful for lifting or merely useful for separating a fool from his money.

Has anyone here used them and are they useful?

They look like this:

I've used the Shark grips in the past. They definitely help with grip strength and forearm development. Very useful to prevent golfer's elbow.

This.

No reason to spend a bunch of money for "fancy" ones.  They're all made of hard rubber; just buy a pair and give them a shot.

I've purchased cheap alternatives on Amazon. Holding up well, and not nearly as expensive

I use them when I start feeling the tendinitis in my elbow starting up. Seem to help
I suppose some foam pipe insulation could serve the same purpose

Exactly why I use them. The blue Sharks I have will git barbell and dumbbells. I like to use the grips on some light dumbbells at the beginning of my workout to warm up my forearms and it prevents the tendonitis flare up while doing biceps or back/pull exercises.

Fat gripz are great! I’ve had a pair of the blue originals for about 7 years, still enjoy using them. Even got my nephew a pair for Christmas last year. The new ones have a little different design.
“Fat grip” training is great for over all arm development.

I like fat gripz and work them into some of my sets.

You’ll feel weak as hell and drop what you can normally lift easily
