| I have never smoked a Drew Estate cigar up until last week. We were in a local shop in Daytona browsing around and I happened to be looking at the Drew Estate stuff. He mentioned that he had some limited edition Deadwood Sweet Jane sticks. Figured what the hell and gave it a shot. Smoked it on the beach later that evening and really liked it. I supposed it could have been the atmosphere but I fell in love with this one. Any other recommendations from the Drew Estate line? They seem to have a billion different brands. |

If you've never had an Undercrown Maduro, your cigar life is incomplete. The standard, or the 10th anni Dekked Out. I never not have these on hand. If I'm smoking a cigar that is letting me down, I'll toss it and save the day with an Undercrown Maduro. The Undercrown Shade is a very nice Connecticut. A Tabak Especial is a nice treat if you're a coffee guy. Dulce for the chocolate. Anything in the Liga Privada family is pretty dang good. Everybody knows the Liga Privada No 9, but a lot of folks will tell you an H99, or T52 is better. The Factory Smokes are a really good short filler cigar. Mowing the lawn sticks. Or letting a buddy try a cigar for the first time and he doesn't like it so he throws it out and you're only out $2 stick. |

Jonathan Drew is a very polarizing individual and as such some people have negative opinions of his company because they don't like him. Drew Estates has also done a lot to bring new, typically millennial smokers in and with that comes internet hype. Some people take issue with this for various reasons from elitism to just wanting to be contrarian. All that said, at any given time 2/3 of my humidor is Drew Estates. I'm not a brand loyalist( I'm aware this post seems to say the opposite) but I know that whatever I get from Drew Estates will at least be decent. With a lot of other companies, I find myself taking the gamble on whether it'll be good or not. Anything from the Undercrown, Liga, Tabak, or Kentucky Fire Cured lines are solid choices. The Factory 2nds punch above their price point when money's tight. Lastly, a lot of DE hate is because of the Acid line. I'm uh...not a fan. But you can't deny the Acid line is a big player in bringing in more people and making the cigar industry grow and become more accessible to us all. |

What hooked me was the Acid Wafe (haven't been able to get one in a decade). Don't have many cigars now, but a Java Maduro or any of the Fuente line are usually the pick. Not afraid of a shitty old Backwoods either. |
