I have been getting double nat settings and want to get rid of it. How should I go about this? Here is my setup. Modem is a W1000K and I have 8gig up/download service. Main router is an Asus RT-BE92U with 2.5g ports. These are all hardwired for backhaul to an Asus AX11000 set up as an access point and 2 Asus Zen Pro ET 12s. I think I used to have the modem set up in bridge mode before it was replaced. But unsure, and I don’t want to brick it. Attached File |

You have to login to the Q1000K directly and go into the settings to disable the router function (bypass mode) and then configure your ASUS router. The login address should be 192.168.0.1 for your ONT but make sure you connect directly to the ONT via ethernet and bypass the rest of your network. Once that is done I think your ISP requires VLAN tagging. Log into the ASUS router. Go to LAN on the left menu, then click the IPTV tab at the top. Change the ISP Profile to manual. Look for the internet row, and type 201 into the VID box. Leave PRIO at 0, hit apply, and restart the router. If you are on DHCP make sure your ASUS WAN settings are on DHCP. If PPPOE I guess you'd already know that because you need the settings from the ISP. I would also ensure your ASUS router is NOT on the same subnet of 192.168.0.1 - If the 3rd number is 10 or 50 or something like that (ex 192.168.50.1) you don't have to change it. If you ever need to login to the ONT again you will have to hook directly into it. The ASUS router will pull your public IP from it but I don't think you'll be able to login to the ONT through the router once it's in bypass mode unless you can setup a static route in the ASUS interface. |

Might be better in long term to DMZ the Asus. That way when AT&T forces an update to their equipment your network stays unaffected. Keep it simple -Sigadvantage- |
