Last couple of days I have watched a few shows on ghost hunting and I think they might be making stuff up

Yes. My house has a ghost cat. edited to add: I have a cat. My bedroom door is locked at night so it's not her. There have been numerous cats in my house in the last 50+ years and it wasn't new when my parents bought it. I'll be in bed and I hear that sound a cat makes when they launch to jump up on something. It jumps up on the bed by the head on one side, down the side, across the foot of the bed, and then up to the head of the bed where it disappears. If I reach for it it's gone. If I open my eyes it's gone. But I can hear it and feel the bed move from the footprints. it's always the same thing. |
| i have seen a lot of shit i can't explain. wife and i have done a lot of ghost tours and such for fun. many included alcohol just for the record. Is it ghosts i don't know, but i do believe their are things we can't explain that get attributed to supernatural stuff. |

I lived in a haunted house for a bout a year. Only one incident, a door opened that I had closed. There was a spiritual presence that hated me and tried to drive me out of the house. Other people noticed it as well. I call myself a Christian, and I do not believe that spirits of people can return as ghosts. I do believe that there are spiritual beings meaning angels and demons. I've wrestled with a few.. |

Ghosts opening doors and drawers, knocking cups off tables and picture frames off the walls, moving stuff around. C'mon. That stuff is lame. If I was a ghost from like the 19th century, I wouldn't mess with silly crap like that; I'd maybe grab a set of keys and drive a car around the block, something I'd never got to do in my lifetime. If ghosts can physically open doors and hide your possessions, they can work a brake and gas pedal. That they never do ought to give you a clue on how real these spirits really are. |

Quoted: I'm open minded, but in lieu of actual evidence? Nope. I think most of the supernatural "feelings' people experience are almost certainly explainable by parts of the brain misfiring or misinterpreting what they are consciously experiencing. The thing that opened my mind to the possibility was when I casually mentioned to a friend that I thought the house I was staying in was haunted. Instead of laughing it off, my friend told me that he knew what I was talking about and went on to describe the exact same things I was experiencing. He had only been in that house for about an hour and I never discussed that with anyone else before that. |

Seen some odd things. When I was about 4 years old my family lived in a three bedroom ranch home in the middle of Michigan. My Father had been honorably discharged from the USN and was attending university while also working full time and we had just moved into that house, which was a relatively new build on a rural country road that was paved. One evening my uncle stayed the night while visiting and the next morning while having breakfast with us commented on the fact that he thought he had seen my Mother enter my bedroom that past night dressed in a long white night gown. My Mother denied having entered my room that night and she did not own a long white night gown. About a month later, my Godfather who was a Master Chief Petty Officer on leave came to visit us and stayed te night. Again, the next morning while having breakfast with us commented on the fact that he thought he had seen my Mother enter my bedroom that past night dressed in a long white night gown. Again, my Mother denied having done so and still did not own a long white gown. The first incident with my Uncle had been written off as maybe him having too much to drink the evening before, but hearing the same thing from Godfather who had never met my uncle really made my parents who were pretty aloof Boomers a little concerned. To add to the odd things happening, my Mother had brought back from Spain with her (after being stationed there with my Dad) some little porcelain figurine angels she had purchased at an open air market. She had placed them up on a wall for display in the house. Well, every morning those little figurines would be turned facing the wall, facing my room. My Dad graduated university and the house was put up for sale and we moved. Flashforward 18 years later, I'm in my last year of university attending the same university my Dad graduated from. I'm living in a two bedoom, second floor apartment, with one roommate, and one night I'm just relaxing in my bedroom with the lights on laying in bed watching TV with my then girlfriend. We were alone in the house, all the doors and windows were locked, and my roommate was at his job. As we laid on that bed I heard the door knob to my bedroom start to turn. My girlfriend and I both watched it turn as slow as I've ever seen a door knob turn. I thought it might be my roommate maybe having come home early and called out to him, but the thing just kept turning and then suddenly as if let go suddenly the door knob just snapped back. I threw open the door ready for a confrontation or to see my roommate, but nobody was there. There was no way on earth anyone could have run out of the apartment and relocked things that quickly. I searched the entire apartment and there was nothing, not a soul other than myself and my girlfriend. It was one of the creepest things I've ever seen and I have no explanation for it. My girlfriend and I both saw it, we were both stone cold sober, and literally all the lights were on. That's my pretty low key "ghost story." I don't know what is going on up there in that town, if anything, but I'm glad after college I moved and never went back there to live. |

Quoted: Think about all the gosts stories you've ever heard. Now, think about all the people who have ever lived. Seems to me, if ghosts were real, there'd be a lot more running around yelling "BOO!" and shit. https://i.imgur.com/IUcsjGy.png Apparently, there’s been 118B total Homo sapiens have ever lived so with 8B alive now, we’d be outnumbered almost 14:1 |

One of my best friends had a ghost of a teen girl in his home. He documented that a 14 year old girl had died in the house from Spanish flu in 1919. The things that I had witnessed in that house, confirmed the fact that there's shit in this World that are totally inexplicable. |

Quoted: I think you need huge tits to channel ghosts. https://th.bing.com/th/id/R.f1016f4ae4e5ceae66b77deddc6c7e6d?rik=W1uvm%2blHqq6SQA&riu=http%3a%2f%2fimages.fanpop.com%2fimages%2fimage_uploads%2fGhost-Whisperer-Stills-jennifer-love-hewitt-588578_534_800.jpg&ehk=NMEe2n%2fLnog2PesbEF%2bPwrUzs2XA9pMiv06DDxmVg9o%3d&risl=&pid=ImgRaw&r=0 GD Never disappoints. |

When my son was young he asked me once, "is Bigfoot real?" I answered the following. "Imagine you are out walking in the woods. You climb a small hill and push through some heavy brush into a little clearing. And there he is, Bigfoot, 8ft tall, shaggy, and standing right there looking at you. He even does a little wave. You come home and tell everyone. Would they believe you?" He pondered that for a moment and then answered no. I have several unexplained "ghost" occurrences that make fun stories. Never seen a floating apparition however. I'd imagine it's seeing is believing for most people. |

Quoted: I used to think that stuff was all made up nonsense. After living in this one house for a short time 17 years ago, I now think that the vast overwhelming majority of it is made up nonsense. I grew up in a house with issues. Most stories are nonsense, but I've experienced some weird shit. Nothing evil, just weird and unexplainable. |

Had a weird experience a a couple of years ago, looking after an old place for a few days. I was unquestionably the only person in the building. In the kitchen making dinner one night, having some drinks alone. Adjacent to the kitchen is a small wash sink, that had a guitar leaned up in the corner. Twice within a couple of minutes was a single guitar string pluck. Probably a mouse jumping across or something, but it’s the best I’ve got. Other people have had weird experiences there over the years, mainly hearing footsteps. I’d have to experience something more substantial to believe in ghosts. |

I do not believe in ghosts. I am, and been for some time, an anthiest. I do not believe in supernatural BS of any kind, and think it almost all scammy nonsense to get views/clicks. There, I said it. But. In 2003, while out fired from NOPD, I was working as a university police officer for the state of LA. One night, my first night shift as Sergeant for Southern University at New Orleans, I walked through the Old Science building to make sure it was locked down. I walked through the 1st floor, and shut and locked the auditorium doors. Went to the 2nd, and did the same. Got to the 3rd floor to do it again, and looked down and saw that the doors on 2 and 1 were, instead of locked and shut, wide open. I shut and locked the 3rd floor doors, then made my way back downstairs, shutting and locking the 2nd floor doors (again) and got to the 1st floor, where I poked my head in and looked up and saw that the doors on 2 and 3 were open again. I was getting pretty weirded out at that point, and just decided to leave the building. As I headed down a hallway to the exit an elderly black woman walked out of a classroom, stood in the hallway for a couple seconds, then looked me dead in the eye and walked back into the classroom. I ran down the hallway to the classroom calling out for her to stop, then entered the classroom, which had only the one door and sealed windows. There was no one inside the classroom, and I searched it well. I left the building, and frankly neglected my patrol duties the rest of the night, being somewhat freaked out. At around 0700 the day shift, including the chief, showed up. The chief and her secretary looked at me and saw that I was pale, and the chief said something like "oh Lordy, he saw Mrs. [a name I can't rember,] and her secretary started laughing and agreeing. I immediately felt a weight lift off me as I was relieved to learn that I witnessed some known person who might have keys to the OS building, instead of somethig else, and said as much. Which was when I was told that Mrs. [a name I can't remember] had died a decade prior, had had her wake and repast held in the OS auditorium, and had been seen there several times since by night shift employees and insomniac students. So, yeah, I don't believe in ghosts or the supernatural. But I experienced what I described above, along with a couple other really weird and inexplicable things in my career, so.....I dunno. |
