Hello, Has anyone been diving in Cozumel in early February? How was the experience? Would it be too cold for family to use the pool or snorkel? The rates jump up quite a bit in late February and March. Thanks! |

We've been there a bunch - mostly Dec or Jan. It should be mid 80s in Feb. Plenty warm for pool/ocean. Hot, in fact. Enjoy! |

February is the coldest month and the average ocean temperature in February is 80F. I dive in a rashguard and shorts and bring a thin windbreaker on the boat in case it is windy in-between dives or the ride back. https://seatemperature.info/cozumel-water-temperature.html |

So, don't forget: diving in 78 degree water for 75 minute dives is WAY different than snorkeling or swimming in a pool. If it's low/mid 80s, that's perfect pool, snorkeling temps. You'll probably be very comfortable or even warm. |

I have dove on 2 cruises, one at the end of January and the other the beginning of February. Water temp was about 82* from the surface to 100’. I dove in swim trunks and a quick dry shirt on both 2 tank dives and was comfortable. If you will be diving 4-5 dives per day you will want a 2mm wetsuit. |
