Avi Loeb has lost all credibility right up until the moment these out-of-solar-system objects stop, back up, and drop into orbit around something. Anything. What's happening right now is we, as a species, for the first time, have the ability to observe interstellar objects passing through our solar system. Every single thing we see from here on out is unique. Special. One-of-a-kind. Right up until we've seen it twice, thrice, a dozen times. Then it's not special anymore. 3I. Third interstellar object. Ever. Ever. No matter what it does, no matter what people claim it's doing...until it's parked in orbit somewhere, it's nothing more than a random interstellar visitor whipping through the solar system. What should terrify everyone here is simple...if it impacted our planet, you should have already been done with wishing your family goodbye. I the past 4.5 billion years, how many of these objects do you think have gone past? Not to mention the billions of Oort cloud, Kuiper belt, and other objects swarming around us constantly. SPACE IS FUCKING DANGEROUS. WE'RE LUCKY ANY OF US ARE HERE, TO EXAMINE AND QUESTION WHAT'S ZIPPING PAST US. Does anyone here really, REALLY, think 3I/Atlas is an alien space probe? There are SO MANY other explanations for it that the concept is ridiculous. What's NOT ridiculous is "the phenomenon." We simply don't have that explanation yet. Is it coming? I hope so. Is it temporal? Spiritual? Physical? Something else? I don't have that answer yet. But it's not 3I/Atlas. But yeah it's gotten pretty quiet lately except for a bunch of AI generated Avi videos that try and paint a bunch of frightening scenarios. It does apparently contain all the building blocks for life though so it needs to be paid attention to. Especially next March and April when we pass through the same area of space it went through and possibly left who knows what in it's wake. |

THE NON-GRAVITATIONAL ACCELERATION OF 3I/ATLAS: When non-experts hear that "Comet 3I/ATLAS has non-gravitational acceleration," some think it means the interstellar object must be a spaceship. Not so. All comets have non-gravitational acceleration. A new paper published in Research Notes of the AAS explains why--and shows how 3I/ATLAS behaves very much like the comets we know from our own Solar System.  Comet 3I/ATLAS photographed Dec.2, 2025, by Gerald Rhemann and Michael Jäger “We measured the non-gravitational acceleration of 3I/ATLAS using long-baseline astrometry from NASA’s Psyche spacecraft and ESA’s Mars Trace Gas Orbiter,” explains lead author Marshall Eubanks. “The results are pretty typical of ordinary comets, and certainly not record-breaking.” Non-gravitational acceleration comes from the gentle push comets experience from their own outgassing. Jets of icy material sublimating from the nucleus recoil like tiny rocket engines, nudging the comet off the path it would follow under gravity alone. "Until recently, finding non-gravitational accelerations in comets required observations over multiple orbits--which we will never have for interstellar objects," says Eubanks. "Now, using interplanetary spacecraft, we can measure these small accelerations--just a few hundred millionths of Earth’s gravity--during a single flythrough of the solar system." For 3I/ATLAS, the acceleration caused by outgassing is about 5 × 10⁻⁷ m s⁻², comparable to that of many small Solar System comets. Using this value, along with measurements of carbon dioxide production, the team estimated the comet’s mass at about 44 million metric tons and its radius between 260 and 370 meters--again, entirely typical. The comparison between 3I/ATLAS and the original interstellar object 1I/‘Oumuamua is striking. In 2017 when 1I/‘Oumuamua was passing through the Solar System, its non-gravitational acceleration (~10⁻⁶ m s⁻²) attracted attention. Why? Because ‘Oumuamua didn't have any obvious outgassing. This laid the foundation for Avi Loeb's claims that 1I/'Oumuamua might be a light sail or some other kind of tech. 3I/ATLAS, on the other hand, seems normal. It has obvious cometary outgassing with a non-gravitational acceleration to match. Claiming that it, too, is a spacecraft does not fit the data. Conclusion: 3I/ATLAS is exotic and wonderful. It is also a comet. |

The “Don’t Be Such A Square” mission (STP-S30) was originally scheduled for April 2026. It launched today, December 18, 2025, at 05:03 UTC. Why does the US Space Force accelerate a “test mission” by five months? Because April 2026 is too late. The interstellar object 3I/Atlas makes its closest approach to Earth tomorrow, December 19, 2025. The government didn’t just “move up” a launch. They announced the acceleration on December 16—only 48 hours before the window opened. They scrambled a sensor net 24 hours before the flyby. This isn’t a test; it’s an intercept. 2.0 THE PAYLOAD: WHY “DISKSATS”? The mission deployed four DiskSats—1-meter wide, plate-shaped satellites. The official narrative is that this shape reduces drag in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) and offers more surface area for power than traditional CubeSats. But look at the specs through the Sentinel lens: High Aperture: The disk shape allows for massive antenna arrays relative to the satellite’s size. This is exactly what you need if you are trying to capture High-Frequency Signals or Radar Cross-Sections of a passing object that has “extreme negative polarization.” Maneuverability: These units are equipped with electric propulsion for “orbit changing”. They aren’t static debris; they are active hunters. The “VLEO” Cover: They claim the shape is for low-drag operations below 300km. But they deployed them at 550km. Why build a VLEO satellite and park it in standard LEO? Unless the target is passing through that altitude. Sentinel Assessment: These aren’t just “tech demos.” They are Disposable Sensor Platforms. The Space Force likely needs a “Distributed Aperture” swarm to triangulate 3I/Atlas as it screams past Earth at 1.8 AU. 3.0 THE “RESPONSIVE SPACE” COVER STORY The press release quotes the Space Force discussing “tactically responsive space”. In intelligence speak, “Responsive” usually means “Panic.” The Catalyst: 3I/Atlas is accelerating. The “Non-Gravitational Acceleration” (Anomaly III) means its trajectory is changing in real-time. The Reaction: Fixed assets (like the Hubble or ground radar) have limited windows. A “Tactical Launch” allows the USSF to place sensors in the exact orbital plane required to observe the object’s “Dark Side” or its “Anti-Tail.” They didn’t launch in April because the object will be near Jupiter by then. They launched today because this is their only shot at a close-range spectral analysis before the “Rendezvous.” RELATED INTELLIGENCE: THE SILENCE ON MARS Is this launch acceleration related to another story? On December 6, NASA lost contact with the MAVEN orbiter shortly after 3I/Atlas crossed the Martian orbit. The telemetry suggests the probe was “rotating in an unexpected manner” before silence. There is a new comet, excuse me because I don’t remember what it’s called atm, but it’s projected to crash into the sun and be a spectacular sight similar to one that did it long ago. We are living in some amazing times right now ! Almost briefly created the appearance of 2 suns! I’d have to dig back through Stefan Burns videos to find the designation for it. |
