I got a heat gun and replaced the mag tube with a one piece American unit and the aluminum trigger guard. I have more in accessories than the gun itself. I know you’re supposed to break it in with hot loads, but the first range day, maybe 150 rds, it digested everything. Fed Tactical OOO buck. Slugs. S&B OO. The #6 Super-X birdshot sitting in an old coffee can in dad’s garage since 1977. Stock got a little loose. Tightened it. Between this and a Vang Comp 870 Police I don’t need another fighting shotgun, but that MAC 2 Marine looks awfully good. |

It would be a lot easier if they laser engraved them like sockets in most socket sets these days. Some manufacturers do but I guess it's just another costs saving measure. Not like I plan to change mine for hunting or anything though.

Break-in per manufacturer's recommendation complete. No malfunctions at all from the gun. Everything seems solid.  It bit my finger a few times, because I'm fumbling with it, since I am still getting used to how it works. Attached File |
