My little one is going to be 9 in a few months and I want to ge her (and me too) a 3d printer. I know a few years ago the Ender 3 was all the rage. Is that still the recommendation or are there better options. Budget is about $350 (not including filament and other consumables). I might be willing to bump up the budget to $400-$450 max. My daughter will probably want to print her dragons and other figurines. I'd be interested in printing out misc items and other random stuff. |

I had basically the same thought as you. And asked on here for recommendations. The P2S with AMS was highly recommended. It is double what you are looking at. But in my opinion it is worth every dime I spent on it. |

| Another P2s owner here. I couldn't be happier with this machine. I bought it solely for it's ability to create 3D2A stuff. Could I have spent less $$$ and be happy? Probably, but the AMS alone makes printing with different colors a lot easier than having to swap out spools on a single filament machine. Just beware that this hobby can be a money pit. |

I just got a P2S combo, and I am very happy with it. My prior experience was the A1 mini I got for my daughter several years ago. I don't know if I would have bought the P2S if I would have gotten the regular A1 years ago? I am glad that I have it now and the ability to handle filaments that the A1 would struggle with. |
