I am guessing the image used to call racism has the brightness and contrast turned down so the background fades to grey and the white and the shoes in the forefront pop out. With that effect, it really does look like a klan hood and dangling feet. I can't imagine anyone did this on purpose and the effect only happened when the image was adjusted. Obviously anyone and everyone who wants drama, will find drama, but a simple "oops, not what we intended" and it all goes away. |

Good Good Golf feels their pain. They were similarly canceled by Callaway over an ad (FWIW, it was a really bad ad even without the leftist insane "domestic violence" accusations) and apologized. Thankfully, their followers are strongly behind them as they look for new partners. They are in zero danger of going out of business. Their CEO was forced to resign, although he still keeps his millions in salary and tens of millions in founder's stock. Companies really have to evaluate their customer bases and see that those who are going nuts over this were NEVER their base and wouldn't buy their products after an apology anyway, as they are incapable of forgiveness. |

| Perhaps all companies should stop advertising. Every campaign seems to upset somebody these days, so why keep taking the heat? If enough companies pulled their ad spending at the same time, cable networks and websites would feel serious financial pressure. Faced with that, they might come to their senses and stop pushing a liberal agenda. |

My first glance interpretation was that there’s a person hanging beside a person in a white sheet, until I looked closer. I feel pretty confident, however, that a Klan lynching was not their intended artistic vision for the ad but I do wonder what their actual intention with the visual was. Or maybe that was the intended vision and it was supposed to convey that “No matter your differences, at least everybody loves wearing Converse!”
