Yeah I know, it's winter. And that's what my doc said. But this is different. I'm 54 in a few weeks. I'm healthy and fit. My physical was great and my labs were great too. Doc said the only other thing could be T levels. Mine came back today at 717. This was a 2:30pm draw. I just read I should have done it in the morning. Any ideas? I am constantly cold, more so than my family and coworkers. I sleep with a beenie LOL. This is relatively recent, coinciding with the weather change. |

717 is above average at all age ranges. Some people are just naturally more warm or cold. I'm lean and still prefer cold weather over warm. My dad is the same build as me and has always like really hot weather, he gets cold easily. We stayed in the same room on a job this summer out of town and I would put the AC at like 60, I would wake up and see him with like 9 blankets on while I'm still sweating in my sleep. Lean mass percentage might also play a factor. Despite being about the same frame and height, I carry more muscle than my dad does. |

I deal with something similar which started after I hiked half (1100 miles) of the AT. Basically, between meals I get cold. For example: I can wear a hoodie on the hottest of summer days; but after I eat I can suddenly feel the ambient temperature, the hoodie is removed, and I start sweating like everyone else. It's weird... I went to the doctor and after my labs, he said that nothing was wrong; but I'm not 100% convinced. I just make sure not to miss a meal anymore. I'm 6'0" and now up to 160 pounds. Accountant The trend here seems to be people that are underweight. You guys need some lean mass, then you'll be a furnace. |

When I fast or do stretches of low carb/keto I get colder too. Thyroid normal, I haven’t checked T yet, but I assume its normal. I am shorter and heavier 5’6” and 180-185lbs. Lean but not impressively lean, definitely higher than 10% BF but less than 15%. |

Jan 1982 up on the ROK DMZ broke me on cold weather. Swore to God that if He got me out of that place that I’d NEVER complain about southern summer heat ever again. To this day I may say it is too hot to go out in the heat but I don’t complain. That cold would freeze the souls of men. So I know the OP’s feelings. |
Call the tune and let's dance; but beware that the devil is the piper and the tab for that soiree will be hell to pay.

The less hair you have on your head, the easier you get cold. ![]() Anyway, just buy some thermal base layers, look for "thermajohn" on Amazon. They're not terribly expensive, surprisingly thin, and amazingly warm. |

More like my bones are cold. Like when you have the flu. |
