I want to thank everyone who came out and braved the weather for the wonderful event we had this past couple of days. It wouldnt happen without you guys. I’d say that this was my favorite event of all the ones I have been a part of. The small number and cold weather lead to everyone staying much closer and the inside jokes got multiple layers deep. I haven’t laughed this hard in years. Here’s the official final scorecard. We snuck in two extra runners on Saturday morning so sorry to whoever got bumped from top10.  I want to offer a special thanks to the team at Geissele who sent us a care package even though we didnt ask for any. Due to the number of drops and people who never signed up, most runners went home with double prizes as well as extra t shirts and swag! Such a great event. Thank you to Shelby for hosting. Thank you to the kitchen staff that kept us fed throughout the event! Thank you to the rest of the staff that did all the behind the scenes things to keep everything flowing and working smoothly. Special thanks to the range owners that let us do the event here. Thanks to the sponsors that sent out prizes knowing that we weren't asking for anything. Thanks to all the peeps that jumped in to lend a hand when needed, and thanks to all the runners that came out and put up with us terrorizin... uh... heckling you! Most of all, thank you to @TheRadBaron for coordinating the kids course and thanks to everybody that chipped in to make that happen! Our three beastly cola kids walked away with some cool swag thanks to generous donations that were piece together from sponsors and other Cola Bros! Watching the kids attack the kids course was easily my favorite part of this event. And hands down the most entertaining part was to see them go through the tube after causing so much pain and suffering for the adults the last few days! Lets just say that the kids regretted being so ruthless to the adults... I was not free as much as I expected so if you wanted to buy a patch and I failed you, hit me up and we can still make it happen! It was great seeing all of you and I can't wait for the next time we meet!

   Pistol- 14 targets shot from elevated platform sitting on a barrel suspended by bungies. 8 on Polish plate rack, cluster of 3, mini-mo (chest and head), full size ipsc at 100. Rifle- 11 targets shot from elevated platform. 100 yds 6 plate plate rack shot while resting on railing, 1 target at 300ish could only be seen/shot by kneeling or standing, 2 more at 300ish shot any position, 1 at 400 and 1 at 470ish shot any position. 2 mags each rifle pistol with max of 60 rds rifle and 42 rds pistol. |

Obstacle 0- get to FO Obstacle 1- get the keg up and over the wooden frame and reset it.  Obstacle 2- flip the big ass tire 3 times.  Obstacle 3- take the tire pyramid apart, move it to the other circle and rebuild it.  Obstacle 4- take the tire off the stake and take it to the shipping container and touch the green triangle with it, then bring it back.   Obstacle 5- take the tire that was used in 4 through the tube and then back through the tube and put it back on the stake. Tube was rolled back and forth while going through it.   AK disassemble/reassemble and eat 5 candy cane flavor peeps.  Then 1/2 mile run to range to shoot and finally chug. |

Thanks to Shelbysguns for host and organizing my favorite event. It’s not easy and the fact that everyone loves coming to this event shows that you do a fantastic job. Thanks to HDLS, kc215, L0pper, and the brisket crew for all of the work getting food to everyone. No one went hungry and everything was delicious so thanks to all of the kitchen crew. Thanks to Gadsden for providing such a fantastic venue. And thanks to Geissele for the wonderful swag contribution. TheRadBaron and Dangernarf do a great job with the kids events. This year was exceptional. I’m sure I’ll think of more people to thank in the morning. All of you people are the best. Yes, I said you people. |

The event was awesome. Obstacle zero kinda smirked at us at start off gas cap is leaking tried to stop and get a fix and make sure there wasn't something more serious but it ate up a couple hours on thursday we didn't have to lose. The sun going down at 4:50 made it for early nights we would be sitting around the fire thinking it was late at 630. Huge thanks to shelby and all the staff dudes putting in work. gunslinga, ling ling, slarti and rab seemed to be out on the range or obstacles the entire time to include smashing out all the night runners. It was cool and wet out there for a lot of the time but they were all over it. The food was as good as always the addition of brisket tacos made me fatter. The chili had an acceptable amount of beans. The fire should have been a viking style long house fire but it was good nuff as is and seemed to always have a ring of people at it. Told kimbo we had no idea what to expect for obstacles coming in got in after dark on thursday and ran first thing friday. I thought they were a good shift from the previous ones with all new stuff to do. It convinced me I need to quit messing around and get a tire at the house. I realized after my run that I might be a bit stupid as watching other people run they were way smarter when it came to the keg toss and stacking tires game. The range was cool I liked the out of place pistol work it didn't feel like a long range gimmick for pistol but felt like good engagement ranges on difficult targets on an unsteady platform showed off who was limp wristing pretty clearly. The rifle was challenging in the wind and it had really odd gusts some people would have pretty rough wind at the time of shooting others would run with a lot of wind and have it be calmer as they got to the range there was no certainty to it. The little bowling pin type target at 300 something made me regret using cheap 55 grain ammo when I saw it but I connected with it pretty quick and easy regardless. One thing I wasn't prepared for and could have easily fixed was the cold sodas. I got brain freeze chugging and found it to be one of the most miserable chugs I have had. I popped on the 5th I think and was hating life. If I had left them warm in a cooler I would have been better off. Kimbo slayed the obstacles but wasn't happy with them and couldn't stop talking about what she would be improving on. We have created a monster. She rolled out and saw narfs time and it was like a gut punch I just kept saying do the best you can with what you have out there and see how it rolls out. In the end there were two women in the top 1/3 of placements and that makes me laugh. Wasn't expecting G to roll out the red carpet but blitz came up like a jacked beardless santa bearing excellent rails and triggers. Kimbo again says her favorite part is the high woman award. We had to run out earlier than we wanted on saturday to get to the lead farm run and gun. Sam and dre came out too and we had a great time going for a little nature walk with guns. This reminds me that cola people are some of the best people even through dre threw a 9mm casing at kimbos head mid run.

Having pretty ok guns with quality ammo that is tried and tested helps a lot knowing your holds and how to apply them to the range was good she forgot what she was supposed to do a couple times and her arms get fatigued pretty quick with pistol but she sure got through it. Its easy to walk out on a square range and hit a lot of these same targets outsiders don't realize what its like to have that adrenaline dump from the obstacles and run ahead of this. |

I definitely plan on getting my shit sorted so next time isn't so humiliating........and I'm definitely not bringing those damn seltzer waters again, holy crap that was alot of carbonation, think I'm still burping it up. @Shelby, thanks for hosting. Another range at Gadsden: Attached File Food was awesome as always. BajaGringo’s tortillas are always spot on…. Having chili with beans tonight and added some of that secret ingredient @L0pper Brisket was some of the best I’ve had, along with @HDLS breakfast “casserole” Thanks to you people who brought and shared brown liquor except for top shelf tequila It was also great seeing old friends and meeting many new ones I want to overcome obstacle 0 for a different Cola |

I want to tell the Staff, Thank you for the work you guys out in from getting the event ready, to making delicious food, and running all of the participants smoothly and ensuring everyone had an understanding of obstacles before and during their run if they started veering off from the one they were supposed to go to. Sponsors, I don't know what to say other than thank you. None of us had any idea there would be anything at the end, but were in it for the fun and it was an awesome surprise to have something extra. @RABactual thanks for the heckling during the chug because it was exactly what I needed to get through the 2L. I'm super stoked to have my first night run nailing a 2L and getting high night. It was eye opening how terribly NV stuff performs once rain starts dumping straight into objective lenses and on emitters.
