| I am constantly getting the cloudflare verification. Its excessive, like every time I refresh or click on a forum. I would understand once a day or something, but it is happening every few minutes. No, I am not using a VPN. Just regular internet on a well known ISP and cell carrier. |

It could be a scam or it could be legit. I placed cloudflare security challenges on my login page for my site. It shows briefly then goes away. That other page the url changed to "repocast com" and was not CF. Lots of hackers and about 20% of the internet is protected by CF. It can give site owners DDOS protection and caches some of their site. If you pay money it can cache all of your site. |

So let's add more shit that gets people to click on the thing so that they get trained to click on the thing so that hackers can hack them more." Stupid |

Our company has an online store that does over a million dollars a year. PCI DSS compliance is required to ensure your data and customers credit card information isn't hacked however fewer and fewer hosting companies offer PCI DSS compliance unless you pay a very steep price because it is a major hassle. The PCI DSS people are constantly changing the rules and many hosting companies find adapting to those changes "breaks" their customers websites. The Cloudflare firewall gives us PCI DSS compliance even with a non-compliant hosting company. If you are getting this message when visiting a website to purchase something, while it might seem like a hassle, you should be happy you are dealing with a company that is paying for a service that protects you. |

The only bright point is they're a publicly traded company so if they go under there will probably be plenty of warning to allow a transition to a different bottleneck. Compare that to something built by a hobbyist, who has no duty to tell anyone if they get bored and stop supporting their pillar. Although, I think companies relying on Steve in Nebraska without paying Steve have only themselves to blame in that case.
