I want to have a webcam in a location with AC power but outside of the radius of any wifi network. The camera doesn’t need to be weatherproof etc, and I want to be able to see live video. Is this a thing? |

Yes. If you have line of sight between where you have internet and where you want the camera you can do a point to point wireless bridge. Fiber is also an option if it's on the same property but there isn't LOS. There are also cellular wireless cameras but that means buying a SIM for the camera and paying monthly. You can also check out wireless modems. T-Mobile has cellular home internet plans where you get a unit that needs power but broadcasts wifi + has ethernet ports. |
