It might be that guys stance, but let me assure you...

Eta: we have vast inconsistencies here in Kanuckistan.
There's this story where a defender gets charged, but there are plenty where defenders, including some who killed the intruder are not charged.
One local case,  a defender took an intruders gun from him and shot/killed the guy... No charges.
